I hope someone assembled this entire Festival into a documentary series - phenomenal arc of sixty years, brought full circle with survivors and new arrivals in a kinship of music that is timeless. Wow.

I used to think to think I sucked at playing dobro, but then I realized I was listening to too much Jerry Douglas.

Paul Simon is a gem in the music industry. His songs will live until eternity. The fact that he is almost 81 & sings better than I ever could; hell, I'm smiling ear to ear. Simon & Garfunkel & Little Anthony & the Imperials are the musicians of my childhood. Being able to still hear them perform live is so tremendous for me. Thank you for sharing these videos with us.

Saw him live on his Graceland tour in the UK in early 1990s - 30 years ago! It was fantastic.

Gotta love the legend Jerry Douglas not being bashful (I'd guess ~1000 instrumental credits gives one some confidence) and just laying it down to help make a classic version of the tune, and if only we all could have Paul Simon's energy at 80

Paul Simon contributed many many songs to the GREAT American songbook, but I think the top 3 are Sounds Of Silence, The Boxer, and Graceland

He's 81 years old.

@@MrErsamo so I looked it up and all signs point to yes he did. There isn't any evidence of himself confirming it, but there are side by side pictures and lots of articles about it. I'm not knocking him btw, I just didn't expect him to be the kind of person to get plastic surgery
@ChrisLawton662 жыл бұрын
Why anyone would give a good Goddamn is far beyond me. He's a stellar musician performing for us in his golden years and you go on about plastic surgery? Ridiculous.
