Eventually he should be reunited. But think about it like this. He spent five years as a criminal and then another seven in prison. Then he gets transported to another universe where he doesn't exist, he has nothing but his wits and experience in crime. Nothing he does in the sonyverse will effect his family that we know of and until he returns to the mcu, he has to survive somehow and the only thing he knows how to do is be a villain. And morbius is also a wanted fugitive who is an occupant in the sonyverse, what else are you gonna do until you figure out how to get home?

Problem is that, it's Sony doing their own thing with restricted oversight from Marvel due to Sony tying Marvel Studios hands. Kind of like a 2 year old wanting to feed themselves instead of the parent and we know if the parent could help it would be fine. However since they won't allow the adult to help, they just end up making a mess leaving most of their food on the ground. Also; Sony making their own movies with Spider-Lore characters puts all the profit in their pockets (including maintaining licensing to produce Spider-Lore movies) because if they made these with Marvel Studios, the profits would split. Last but not least, with Microsoft having bought out Activision/Blizzard, Sony is desperate to make plays to hang on to anything profitable that they have left and acquire more but are absolutely incompetent in doing so. They recently acquired Crunchy Roll and started making changes to their PS Plus membership to compete with Xbox Game Pass (Microsoft). So long list there but it is all interconnected and causes Sony to do nonsense like this to stay above water but are terrible at it. Actually, to simplify it further; Sony is like a 6 year old trying to play Monopoly with a bunch of adults. remember that the post-credits scene for the Amazing Spiderman 2 showed a series of holding cells that displayed the Goblin Glider, the Doc Ock tentacles, the Rhino suit, and yes, the Vulture wings. They were setting up a Sinister 6 film, so maybe thats back in the works? That is, if the Venom universe is in fact the same as Andrews universe, and that could very well be the case since both characters are owned by Sony.

movie migh be hit or miss in parts, but Jared Leto as Micheal Morbius was a good casting choice. can play off that bright and daring doctor and at the flip of a coin a vampire trying to respect his hypocratic oath. script could be better and i want Jared to keep to the role as its good for him.
