The King chose his daughter as heir to the throne and defended her again and again, even when he was on the brink of death. Alicent is a hypocrite and she wanted to believe whatever she wanted. Aegon never wanted the throne. She raised her children teaching them hatred towards Rhaenyra and her children. The greens are the reason the war started.

Thank you for handling the difficult topic at the end. It is needed to address the horribleness of these situations so we can learn as a society and help the actual survivors and prevent further harm in the future. I've been narcissistically abused by multiple people, including a romantic partner, family members, and friends. My abuse experienced has been different, but the isolation, the silence that wrecks the entirety of your health, and the depleting exhaustion carries weight. I'm 35 now and been abused my entire life. There were no 'befores' for so many people. We need more and more people to speak up and condemn the now normalized cruelties and atrocities that have been consuming lives for decades. There has been so much unneeded and preventable suffering. We need to hold the people doing the damaging behaviors accountable, because the survivors are paying the price. And a heavy piece of that price is people acting like you're just supposed to take what would break them. People are living in hell and just trying to exist. When it's that bad it's sometimes impossible to talk about just because of how retraumatizing it is just to try speaking up in the first place that it happened.

It wasn't until the season finale that I found out House of The Dragon is related to Game of Thrones. I didn't watch the previous series and didn't read the books. Additionally, none of my friends have watched GOT either so it stayed off my radar. But, I love watching House of The Dragon. It quickly became one of my favorite shows and I cannot express how hyped I am for Season 2. PS: Since it was mentioned, I don't mind the spoilers you guys give. I watch all the videos to the end regardless and it's awesome seeing / hearing just how passionate you all are for this and every franchise you cover.

I'm really looking forward to this season. ESPECIALLY the Blood and Cheese moment. Archmaester Gyldayn is not an impartial or infallible author (especially given who his sources are), and I love it. I know GRRM has said HOTD is unbiased truth, but that does not make sense in some instances. I'm waiting to get into the emotional headspace to where I'm okay to watch the QOTS documentary. I just know I'll angry cry.
