I'm Irish American and grew up in New York City. My five Uncles Fee would spend Saturdays and Sundays picketing the British Embassy in support of Bobby Sands and his fellow patriots! I was marching with my dad and brothers, along with my dad's best friend and hundreds of others on Boston Common in Massachusetts on the day Bobby Sands died. I had a wallet that was hand made in Long Kesh prison (The Maze) that I would KILL to still have today. It was stolen when I was just 21 years old and it feels like I lost a piece of history.

I remember your Grandfather well, and the others who were there. He awoke in the hearts and spirit of hundreds of thousands of people all over the world, what Freedom should really mean. I have often thought of those times, and always of your Grandfather. My husband's from Mexico and he also remembers. I can't even come-up with a word that accurately states what Bobby brought to life in our Spirit. But he's never been forgotten, not in this house!
