A look back at Comic-Con in July, 1975 at the Convention Center in San Diego. Comic-Con started as a one-day “minicon,” called San Diego’s Golden State Comic-Minicon, on March 21, 1970 at the U.S. Grant Hotel in downtown San Diego.

"Carl Bark" and "Doctor Spock." Ah, the time when mainstream media reporters couldn't care less about geek culture, and most of the people at the cons were actually kids, instead of plehotra of fatso fortysomething male-child with beard and cosplaying girlfriends (also fat).
