The semi satellites were FOX affiliates that otherwise carried all WMUR newscasts and syndicated programming. They went ABC by the time Hearst bought WMUR.

Speaking Of Which, I wonder if anyone has any WMUR stuff taped off of their FOX translators (W16BC/WMUR-LP & W27BL) from August 22, 1994-December 19, 2001, Please let me know, I would like to see some of them on KZbin.

@@TheTotalMusicLover The FOX affiliation was for our translator stations only. New Hampshire is divided into three television markets: Boston, Portland, Maine and Burlington, VT/Plattsburgh, NY. WMUR was licensed to Manchester which was a part of the Boston market (DMA). WMUR had no legal right to broadcast to the northern three New Hampshire counties as WMTW out of Poland Springs/Auburn, Maine had the ABC broadcast rights. Even though FOX 51 in Portland existed, somehow WMUR was able to broadcast through the translator channels (27 and 38) to these areas. It was a backdoor to get WMUR news programming (and sales) legally into counties that weren't a part of our television market.
