We had another visit to the vets before we came away and he has increased Archie 's insulin dose to 7 as he'd lost another kg, im sure he will start to pick up once his diabetes is stabilised, fingers crossed, thank you for being there, take care x Julie and Tony x

Awe hello there you two. Gosh it never rains but it pours so they say. Sorry for your loss Julie ( and Tony) of your uncle. Another link in the chain gone. What a huge responsibility you (all) had with the arrangements and finalising his estate. And poor Archie. Oh dear, not a thought in my mind would have been one of diabetes in a dog. Not heard of it. Hello Anita, lovely to hear from you, I know what a true saying for sure. Yes it was a huge responsibility for sure but we managed it and my uncle had a lovely funeral. Very upsetting to find out Archie had Diabetes and a learning curve for sure. He has had his insulin increased and hoping this helps him pick up a little. We are in Yorkshire for one night and then travelling up to Scotland tomorrow, looking forward to our travels and looking forward to the relax. Take care of yourself x Julie and Tony x

Hi Trev and Sue, thank you, it’s been a tough time. But Archie is doing so much better, still very worrying as he keeps losing weight but we are all on a new routine now. We went back to the vets yesterday and had a blood glucose test so should get the result tomorrow. Hoping his control is good. It’s the injecting that can be a little tricky. I used to check my Tanner Bananners blood sugar at morning and night. I ordered my glucose monitor from England in fact. Insulin lengthened Tanners life almost 5 years but it can be expensive. Prayers for Archie and so sorry for your loss of your Uncle. Monitor is called Cera Pet, I would prick Tanners ear to get sample. She didn't mind at all

Yes hoping our little trip to Scotland chills us, however, its the first time in our motorhome and with Archie having diabetes so a little nervy about it. We are travelling up the west coast only really as far as Oban area and then coming back down to Loch Lomond and then across to Northumberland before returning home, just a taster really to see how we do!! 10 nghts the longest we have been away in the motorhome, take care x Julie and Tony x

Hello Alessa, aah thank you for watching our video and your condolences, I thought I could be strong but the thoughts of putting Archie through the injections well I just welled up inside. Not nice having to jab him no matter how gentle I try to be. It’s about 2 weeks on from the video and the vet has increased his insulin dose to 7 as he had lost another kg, he’s had a groom now so looking smarter. Bless him. We are now in Scotland so relaxing in Garlieston right by the sea, we had a little walk and now Archie is asleep, Tony’s gone a bike ride. Hello Julie and Lucy, thank you so much for watching our catch up. It’s definitely been a hard few weeks. Everything was happening all at once. Archie lost so much weight it seemed overnight , but now he is on the insulin even though he has lost another kg we hope he starts to pick up. We are off to Scotland for 10 days so going to chill and take care of Archie another visit to the vets on our return to check Archie out. Take care, hope all well with yourselves x Julie and Tony x

Sorry to hear about your uncle and poor old Archie. How old is Archie? We where travelling back north today on the A614 passing Clumber Park and where saying we haven’t seen you on You Tube recently. Now we know why. We had been staying at New Hall Farm in Edingley near Southwell. Well worth a visit Enjoy your trip in Scotland.

Oh no what a terrible time for you both! I’m so sorry to hear about your uncle and poor Archie. Try not to worry, dogs with diabetes can live a very healthy normal life. You’ll soon get used the new regime with his diet and medication and take it all in your stride. Having said that I know what it’s like when our fur babies get ill, it’s very upsetting to say the least. They’re family after all! Look after yourselves, all will be well I’m sure. X

Hi Graeme, aah thank you for watching our video, Archie has lost another kg in weight so the vet has increased his insulin dose to 7 from 6, unfortunately he will probably at some stage go blind which is upsetting but we will take each stage as it comes. My heart broke for you guys as I was watching this. Sometimes it feels as though we'll never get back to normal doesn't it. I am so sorry to hear about your uncle and poor Archie probably wonders what on earth is going on bless him. But i just know you will get him back on the road to health in no time at all. Have you thought about a pet stroller for the times that archie gets tired when you're out walking? I see lots of dogs in them these days...Just a thought. Yes at first he was sitting with me all the time, like you say not knowing what was happening to him. Yes the stroller seems a good idea if he will sit in it! , think we will look into getting one. So sorry to hear what a rotten time you’ve been having. Our dog is fussy too, he would eat something for a while but the we think he got bored. We now give him the same food but 3 different flavours which we alternate and he’s really happy with this. I don’t know if your vet would think this would be ok? We use Canagan. Hope you get him stabilised. ❤️

Aah thank you for watching, we are returning slowly, do miss utube but haven’t been able to concentrate on editing. Yes a pram would be good, just finding one to fit him and Archie would stay in. Hello, yes it’s all very strange for Archie, different routine and he gets tired, like you say all different for him. We will get there, we have another check up at the vets on our return from Scotland. We are going up the west coast as far as Oban area then back down to Loch Lomond and then over to Northumberland and then home. We are doing it in 10 days so a couple of nights here and an odd night there. It’s only a taster trip in our motorhome, been to Scotland many times in our car but a first for the van. We are in Aysgarth near Hawes in Yorkshire at the moment a lovely little campsite, take care xx
