Totally agree, I noticed that right away. I'll take American Motocross where there are tons of fans and amateur's are racing all season long on the same tracks as the nationals. That is how your sport grows. This is not a rant against the euro riders who are tremendously talented. It is about a bloated MXGP management who will race anywhere they make the most money. Many of these MXGP tracks are used once a year for the MXGP race. Must be nice being a MXGP executive. Peace and Love.

you can't put 3 races in Italy in one month... this is the result. and then, Sardinia is a isle and for the Italian is very expensive to go there... every year the choices of MXGP organizations are worse...

The smaller teams also probably don't have the funds or logistics at their disposal for getting to a lot of the rounds, with the flow on from covid still making things difficult worldwide as far as shipping all the gear quickly, but I also agree about how they choose the rounds and that it is top heavy with big salaries, MX isn't the only sport getting raped by organisers, sanctioning bodies, promoters, the WRC has the same problem, at least the MX guys aren't making it a one brand official tyre usage for the championship so the fat cats can get fatter......yet

I noticed the same too. I used to ride these gp’s back in the late 80’s, early 90’s, there were 40 riders on the grid with massive crowds at each gp, looks very amateurish these days unfortunately, same promoter I believe…..

@Skyfox Theres literally 200 fans there. Last year at the AMA race at Unadilla in New York there was easily 15000. Every race looks like its on life support over there this year.

Mxgp can't handle the heat and that is a fact and the tracks over there are rough yes, but they also get rough over here in the USA. I would argue the AMA doesn't have the variety of different tracks as far as dirt goes, but what can you do? the US is made of clay and dirt...hardly any sand areas that would make a good national track
