When Gifting led the first lap, I couldn’t hear a single bike over the noise of spectators cheering him on. I had the goosebumps for three laps in a row. It was a beautiful show of support from the Swedish fans.

Close MXGP season....cool to see. Kinda wish that maybe the FIM saw the profit in SX and started a series. Would be cool for the best out of the MXGP series go part of the year SX. Then, maybe combine a few races with the FIM and AMA, at both MX and SX. Just want to see the best riders in a similar series so we could see them going head to head a couple of times a year from both big organizations.

Usualy amateur leagues have more participants than grandprix level competitions. Get some pro flagers than call it pro motocross. There is also another class racing called EMX, european championship. alot of talent in there. GP is harder to attend since its worldwide. Alot of ppl race EMX class. What are these triumphs doing in the GPs that Savatgy's isn't in the US

Different rules for how the bikes can and can’t be. MXGP can pretty much do whatever they want to the bikes. I do agree the 250s in this series look great. They don’t seem to be that dialed in the US yet.
@cadillacmoto
@cadillacmoto 4 ай бұрын
@brandondougherty7213 but it seems like electrical stuff. USA rules need to homologate, but seeing the stuff that pro circuit does to their engines and bottom end, Yamaha adds another injector and aftermarket ECU, it seems like the sky is the limit as long as the swing arm and frame are OEM.
@brandondougherty7213
@brandondougherty7213 4 ай бұрын
@@cadillacmoto I have no idea about the second injector? I would assume they do since all the others do. I was listening to a podcast and they said the American team was going to switch to GET electronics since they are having an issues. You aren’t wrong though. These track locations make it impossible for most to get too. Since the V irus, it's been a joke. The cost of travel, etc.... I think there was race that has 16 total riders. The location was an island, who can afford to travel there with race setup? No many.

I worry about the future of this sport in Europe, the 250 class has basically just turned into the KTM group cup, 20 bikes on a 40 bike capacity gate with 3/4 of them being KTM group bikes. The MXGP racing just doesn’t seem healthy at the moment when compared to the AMA which has full gates every weekend and every brand of bike racing competitively, even Suzuki

GPs is where a pilot gets the world champion crown: I wouldn't call it a waste of time. and that's why the greatest champions (think Cairoli or Herlings) decide to stay. But I understand that the Coenen brothers might want to try their luck in the US: my bet is that De Wolf, not Lucas, will win the title, and the big money around supercross must be very tempting
@jaysmokey
@jaysmokey 4 ай бұрын
@@ropany I know the title is different but he is young, which is why I said he is wasting time, de wolf is a slightly better overall rider. I just think if you're going to the the US to race, don't wait because there is an entire racing culture change to get used to. In America, the GP world title is cool, but it's not coveted there, not at all.
