US moto fan here. I'm always amazed at how gnarly the mxgp tracks get compared to tracks in usa. Our tracks look like highways compared to some of these. These guys are BADASS and I have a feeling Herlings would smoke anyone here right now

sadly the only way that will happen is if he learns SX and is prepared to take a 250F ride just like Chad, Marvin, Ken etc all had too when they moved stateside... would be cool to see him do a full outdoor series with those guys tho, id put my $$$ on him against them if his 100%

I would love to see Herlings move to the States, but mx would still be boring though. Only Tomac is able to ride his pace outdoor and Jeff would still wipe the floor with him. Sx is a different story though.

yeh nah im not to sure it will be as easy as you think for Jeff racing MX in the states, He doesnt ride hard pack as well as he does sand and the US circuit only has one 'real sand track' and thats Southwick 338, unlike MXGP which has over half a dozen deep sand tracks each season.. And then there is the heat of the US summer?? OK sure Hurlings won the last round of AMA MX last year. Tomac had a title to loose and played it safe in that last moto, but a week later at the USGP (in 40+ degree heat) owned Jeff, Tony and the rest of the MXGP boys!! MX des Nations will be interesting this year for sure!!

lots of miss-information here... Jeffrey rides the hard pack as good as anybody and the sand better than anybody. also tomac did win the 1st moto, but not the overall in florida.. that went to herlings

Looked like there was more people than in the mechanics area than there was a crowd... Poor... Indonesia was poor... Thailand was poor also... Give Australia a round... Even New Zealand would draw bigger crowds than that, FIM should be ashamed

Mobbed, are you taking the piss or what fuckhead??... Be lucky if there's 3000 people there... AMA mx gets an average 15K spectators per round. They make rounds like this look like a joke... And not only that, the track looks average too

Why Tomac doesn't come to more prestigious MXGP championship? I think because: 1. He is lazy to travel. It's ok, many people are lazy to travel. I'm lazy too. 2. Preferes groomed tracks (less skill). USA is all about full throttle and no brain, it is national mentality. I have to agree - big, flat tracks, huge jumps are nice for spectators. Musquin and Roczen grew up on rutty and sandy tracks, so it's easier for them to battle in AMA (see results - they wax USA and glorify EU). 3. He is homesick. It's normal. Many people don't feel well in different environment, culture. 4. He knows he wouldn't win overall. He admitted he is not the fastest rider in the world, and he is right. Antonio, Herlings, even Febvre, Gajser, Desalle would give him nightmare battles on EU tracks. Why repeat RV's failure? 5. He wants more money. AMA team pays him more. Why risk injury and get less earnings? He is right, but sometimes not everything is measured with money - like pride. Shame, it would be huge talking point for the fans and media.
