Hi Kerstin! You mentioned in the video ordering a full-size door sample. I ordered the 5X5 sample of the Artica Textured Laminate online through Bellmont. I don't see where you can order a full-size sample. Do you need to be a dealer get a full-size one?

Hi Kerstin, I'm loving your videos!! I'm redoing my kitchen and decided to go with Textured laminate cabinets. We chose a color very similar to Artica. Countertops and backsplash will be white with gray quartz. I would very much appreciate your opinion on door pulls and knobs. Would you do Champagne (to bring some warmth) or what would you suggest? TIA

It's a bit difficult to imagine the real tone of your laminate next to the Champagne but it could be very cool and edgy since it's out of the norm with laminate flat panel doors feeling more modern. I usually am a huge fan of modern clashing with vintage vibes so this could be really fun! And what else do you have in your kitchen? Lots of my clients love the matte black and it goes with everything but in this case it might be a very strong color contrast and the more I'm thinking of the right champagne color I'm really liking the idea. I redid my kitchen last year and chose Belmont partly on your recommendation and partly because the designer I worked with (in Virginia) used Belmont in her kitchen. I still like the look but there were so many quality control problems that almost all cabinet boxes had to be replaced at least once. To it's credit Belmont

Sorry post closed before I was ready. Belmont didn't give the design company grief about replacements but the project took way longer than it should have.

@@donnaroginski7952 Hi Donna, thanks for watching and leaving your input. I'm not going to lie it's pretty standard that something will have to get replaced. On average with a good supplier I'm replacing a door at least on most kitchens. I'll maybe have 1 in 10 kitchens that is 100% perfect. A lot of times it's not the factory though it's also shipping especially if you're shipping accross the county. If you think about paint, I can guarantee you will have replacements as paint is extremely vulnerable. Long story short, delays CAN happen and are not uncommon. I think a lot goes into personal customer expectation too. In general in the cabinet world, if there is a problem on a finish and you can't see it from 3 feet away, we don't consider it as a flaw. I do have a lot of customers though that will go over their kitchen cabinets it seems like with a microscope and have so many parts replaced. There is a huge difference between mid to higher end cabinets versus a furniture like high end cabinet finish and I think in the end having the right expectation plays a big role. I hope in the end everything turned out nice for you and you are enjoying a beautiful kitchen!!

@@TheMaterialBar Alas, with at least some of the cabinet boxes, the problems were more than cosmetic. And I think Belmont packs things well (and your video clearly showed), but as I said, Belmont was good about replacing items. And the design company said they saw problems of this sort across the industry..

@@donnaroginski7952 Jup I totally get it Donna and it does happen here and there that you run into damage more than just cosmetic and yes I really enjoy working with them because they don't question the warranty claim and get it done. I've had other suppliers where it was a clear warranty issue and they would argue with me and I've had to pay out of pocket to make it right. So very happy to hear the warranty claim process was smooth for you!! ;-)

Can Bellmont cabinets grain match wood laminates?

Hi!! I don't think I understand the question correctly? They have several different laminates and wood grains. What do you mean?

@@TheMaterialBar Does the grain of the wood continues uninterrupted top to bottom (or side to side) like it does with veneers? If you stack a cabinet on top of the other, is the wood grain aligned?

@@priscacardanimorando2013 Not by default, if you upgrade to the 1900 line you will have some options to align your grain patterns. This is a more costly option but doable! 🙂
