So why didn't you guys call Kojo too. As for Evans the more you try to be clean the more opaque you become. Time has a way of bringing intentions to light.

Why do some Ghanaians act so ignorant & see corruption in everything. Ghana money is held in other countries such as US & UK. Our banking system is more sophisticated than Liberia so it's reasonable that the money lands in Ghana B4 onwards transfer. There are other countries that use Nigeria. Most French speaking countries in the region use Senegal & Ivory Coast for the same purpose. Putting such sensitive national security things in public, when robbers intercept it, what good will that do for Ghana? An MP? Will the Gov be comfortable giving such an MP national security briefing? We don't know where to draw the line & stop politicking

Is funny to hear NDC accusing NPP of insincerity 🤦🏾- Over 30yrs in power all these areas don't hv defend walls built...for your own strong holds... Funny... Nevertheless, this government ought to do the needful..
@kwameekutsu17772 ай бұрын
This whataboutism must stop, otherwise we are going no where in terms of development. Governance, especially in a developing country is supposed to be a continuity. Besides, the fact that NDC did not tackle a problem is not an excuse for the succeeding NPP government to not do anything about it if the lives of humans who are equally citizens of our country are in danger. Finally, it must be borne in mind that two wrongs do not make a right.

@selormyao316 You need education. Despite all the ills done by your party, u will still find unthinkable reason to score a baseless point...A defence wall mechanism is needed to protect that stretch of land, you know it, it's irrelevant if the flood is from the dam or the sea... Stop with the funfoola- NPP has done a lot more than NDC in that area. This is not the 1st time the dam has cause floods...

Individuals have millions of dollars under their beds, and that did not raise any security concern but when Bank of Ghana's opaque activities is exposed, all of a sudden security concerns have found their place. Has Joy news interrogated the Bank of Ghana about the security concerns arising from the mode of transfer of the money? Besides does the bank of Ghana's explanation make sense to Joy news. Why would Joy news accept hook line and sinker the explanation given by the BOG, which, cleary does not make sense even to the unborn child? Are our journalists up to the task of holding the government to account. This kind of behavior cannot be accepted in any serious country.

It's unfortunate people are talking of recusal. If people are honest, there wouldn't be the need to call for recusal in matters of this nature where a minister appears to to answer questions on promises/assurances he/she has made to the august house where truth has to be told.
@kwameekutsu17772 ай бұрын
Kojo Oppong Nkrumah must shut the f....k up and stop being defensive. Truth be told, this government does not regard the people of the volta region, and that is not only unfortunate but unacceptable. My assertion here can be borne out by Akuffo Addo's attitude towards the very people who have been subjected to man-made disaster.

@kwameekutsu17772 ай бұрын
This is the problem we have in our body politics. Because you don't/didn't vote for me, I should not take care of your needs. That is nonsensical in a true democracy. Akuffo Addo himself epitomizes this school of thought, and on two occasions blurted it out to the hearing of the whole world. Does the fact that somebody di not vote for you or your party make him/her less a Ghanaian? This is wrong, and it's a high time we weaned ourselves of it. We should endeavor to prove ourselves better than this. This kind of politics can only be practiced in banana republics. Ghana, our dear country, the last time I checked, did not opt for a banana republic. We opted for a democratic republic where there will be rule of law as against a banana republic where the laws are made for some of the people and not others. In a true democracy, after a leader (a good one though) is elected, he first considers uniting the people as a nation. In so doing, it doesn't matter whether you are his strong hold or not. The national pie is shared with equity. Ghana, as we are all witnessing today, is on the way of making democracy unattractive. In fact we see dictatorship in the making, truth be told! No wonder polls have shown that a chunk of the Ghanaian population favours military rule. Ghana is not at a good place, and it behoves all of us to take off out partisan lens and put on the national one to save Ghana we all grew up to see.
