Vegeta is 7,700 yen (after tax) and on P-Bandai? That's quite the markup from the scouter Vegeta. Prices are just crazy these days. Not to mention it's most likely the old ankles we dread so much.

This figure has a retooled scouter body. Most of the new is the upper torso and headsculpt, from what I can tell. Definitely makes the $65 harder to swallow.

How much was the original? I’ve never seen it under $240 although that’s scalper prices I don’t know how much the actual price was.

@@mythicpeyote Price fluctuates over the years, so I'll use the yen prices for consistency. The previous scouter Vegeta (2017) is 5,720 yen. There's an older one released in 2013 for 4,180 yen.

So since Tamashii Nations wants to keep making money, I'm wondering if there's any chance they're going to remake most of their pre-existing line of figures they already released. I would really like Goku in the Saiyan Saga sculpted to look like how he appeared in that old Akira Toriyama artstyle alongside a new 2.0 Perfect Cell.

I've been comparing the pbandai pictures of the new vegeta to the 2.0 scouter vegeta, and I think the only part of the legs they kept on the new figure are the boots and ankles. The thighs and calves are definitely slightly changed, and the crotch area looks like a light redesign also. Now I just hope if they do make the other armor version of namek vegeta, they finally drop the 2.0 vegeta feet.

Most excited for the GT trio, Trunks imo looking the most aesthetically pleasing but Pan and GT Goku looking great too, loving the very angular scult they've nailed. Like you said Vegeta's faces look amazing, up there with Zarvon for expressiveness and general sculpt and proportions being more accurate to Namek Saga. 2.0. Hips I'll happily take since his legs can go back but 2.0. Ankles when he notoriously had the worse ankles of any 2.0. Sucks. That alongside the price with no stand or effect part hurts.

Bandai Tamashi really dropping in some bangers, Scouter Vegeta 3.0 Woohooo better than the 2.0 and that 3rd release of SSG Goku better around 3500 yen plus GT Pan and Trunks I was surprised I hope to a SSJ 4 Gogeta and Omega Shenron down the line since dragon stars did those figures too!

I do think the new vegeta looks better than the last one but I still have some issues. The biggest is that it's still on the 2.0 body and this one doesn't look much better than the last one. The ankles are definitely the old ones and the crotch area especially when posed and from behind. While they have given us 'new' shoulders this is still not the best way to do it. Just give us different posed ones like with Jeice. The proportions are also a little wonky. He's a bit too wide in the shoulders compared to the legs and his neck is also a little too long. The faces and head sculpt in general does look really good. I did notice the fig looks a little better from the in-person shots of the prototype so I guess we'll just have to see when it releases.

Very cool! Tamashi is always coming out with awesome figures. I'm for sure picking up that new Vegeta along with the new god goku and GT Trunks. Speaking of Vegeta, I hope tamashi makes a 2.0 Revival of F Vegeta.

I will give it one thing though, some of the faces and the proportions on vegeta look a lot like Yukio ebisawas art work from that era. Not exactly my favorite style from Z but it was certainly unique lol

Glad to see a Namek Vegeta variant coming out. Just wish it was the Frieza battle armor given they just did all of Frieza’s forms plus Krillin and Gohan in the battle armor. Also would’ve preferred this specific one to have battle damage. We only see him fight Cui, the Namekians, and his first fight with Zarbon like this. After that first Zarbon fight, he has the battle damaged armor up until the Frieza battle armor. So with this same figure in the video, albeit battle damaged, not only is it also the fight where he kills Zarbon, but the entire Ginyu saga he’s got that battle damage. So like the damaged shoulder pauldron and some tears in the suit would’ve been amazing. I’ll still get this. I’m a sucker for the different Vegeta variants, especially if it’s body armor and not just the blue under armor. But we need more variants of just that as well. The Dragon Ball Super Hero Vegeta was black under armor and too baggy. We need a Buu saga one, essentially Majin Vegeta without the M, the veins, and the evil eyes.

I really don’t like how the shoulder armor looks on Vegeta. They figured out how to make shoulder pads not separate on Frieza, and I was hoping they figure out how to incorporate that onto the Saiyan armor, but apparently not. And also, I’m sad to see that they’re STILL using those relaly bad ankle joints on Vegeta. They’ve figured put how to do good ankle joints Goku, Trunks, Frieza. Why can’t they do this for Vegeta? I’m hoping for a darker suit Namek Vegeta down the road. And if they get to that, I hope a lot of these issues are addressed. Just my opinion tho :)

Namek Vegeta is just a slap in the face. Reused legs, hips, arms, feet, and hands. And on PB for $65 with little to no accessories. Skip. He does t even come with a middle finger.
