May I also add, Aldub is also a phenomenon because of the circumstances around their meeting. 1. It has a back story - they met 5 years ago in a Candy event when Alden was not even sure if he would pursue being an actor 2. Synchronistic at hindi pinilit - therefore the term Organic and natural became popular 3. Magical - Alden and Maine has an extremely exceptional chemistry that cannot only be seen but felt by the heart. Therefore Aldubnation and EB truly believe that it was Destiny and Divine Intervention. Everything was already produced, written and directed by a Higher Power from the stars. That is why Tape and EB writers gets feedback from the people because they themselves did not originally plan this. Everything came as a surprise.

+Lady Goddess I agree with your number two, yung #1, hindi natin sya maituturing na back story eh, Maine was there to have pictures with the popular celebrities, which in the case of Alden, hindi pa sya sikat nun, and hindi pa sya kilala ni Maine, yes, may connection silang dalawa that time, but that was "Indirect" and do not support the back story of the Kalyeserye, katulad ng sinabi ng mga Dabarkads (I'm not sure kung si Allan K. or si Wally or Jose) Maine has a crush on Alden, syempre ang staff ng EB, they've tried kung ano ang magiging reaction ni Maine, since her original role is the "mataray" na Yaya, then the rest is history na, siguro yung fact na may crush si Main kay Alden can be considered as a back story for Kalyeserye (in case kasi, yun yung time na hindi pa talaga sya Kalyeserye) :)

What we tried to give here is a scientific explanation, kaya iba yung anggulo namin. :) Yung sa #1, I think it may be an answer for some, but I observed that it is not a story that is well-known by a lot of fans, so it would not really explain AlDub Nation as a big social phenomenon. I think it could have contributed dun sa sinabi ko na the kilig factor came from the people's perception that they are seeing something real between Maine and Alden.

I actually just collectively gather what i have been seeing on twitter and ig, their photos 5 years ago circulating, ang blurred ginawan ng paraan para maging clear! hehehe My point is, Aldubnation thinks that they are really destined to be together. Just like in most romantic teleseryes, you always have that "Nagkita na nung bata pa" element. personal opinion.. as an OFW or what you may say TeamAbroad, which is why Aldub became a hit in social media is because Eat Bulaga and its segment KalyeSerye can be played for free as long as you have an internet connection.. most of this fan base are working professionals and use social media on a daily basis... doon mas angat ang GMA shows kumpara sa TFC channel ng ABS CBN na di mo mapapanood overseas unless subscriber ka ng channel nila.. if you also consider twitter, hashtags generated for the day starts at 12:00mn so ang kadalasang nagdadala ng trending habang natutulog ang pilipinas ay ang mga taga abroad.. I think its time na magbago na ng patakaran ang ABS CBN or kahit na iba pang TV channels to open up to social media if they want to succedd like what EB and GMA did, babo pa man tuluyang silang mapag-iwanan. hindi naman kasi lahat kinakailangang subscription based para lang makita mo artista ng channel 2

It's a good thing that we filipinos are going back to our FILIPINO ROOTS and VALUES. Ang tagal kong hindi nanood ng tv at mga pelikulang pilipino simula nang mawala ang mga magaganda at kalidad na pelikula na makikita lamang noong 80's at 90's. Noon napakalight at very inspirational ang mga movies,may mga musicals at dances na nakakapaglighten ng mood ng tao na nadadala mo kahit sa paglabas mo ng sinehan, hindi morbid ang acting ng mga artista hindi gaya ngayon sobrang iyakan at bulyawan, yung mga artista noon may kanya kanyang signature moves at distinctive manner of acting na hanggang ngayon ay ginagaya, at ang mga script writing noon napaka tatalino at malalalalim. Sa kalyeserye nanumbalik lahat ng FILIPINO QUALITIES at ELEMENTS na meron ang mga FILIPINO MOVIES noon. I can compare kalyeserye to my NUMBER ONE FILIPINO MOVIE which is BAGETS. Very light, very inspiring, the comedy is hilarious hindi nagbebase sa sarcasm at pamimilosopo na prevalent ngaun dahil sa kabaklaan(no offense sa mga gays), may musicals, may mga dancing portions and the element of love is so PURE and VERY FILIPINO.

interesting for a big thing like this it' should;ve been done in segments I love that they invited experts and professionals and tried to logically dissect the aldub sensation I wish they explained the basics/introductions for the curious(people who heard but are not fans of aldub) like what aldub means and how the name was formed, etc

This is who I missed sa ABS-CBN News -- Miss Pia Hontiveros, she's one of the most trusted face and voice sa news world. Buti siya ang nasa CNN Phils, oh diba? Nanood siya ng ilang episodes kaya yung mga tanong niya meron direction at nakarelate siya sa topic though nagtanong siya para sa mga hindi nakakaalam abt AlDub. Di tulad ng iba dyan, na matagal na sa news pero may nakakaligtaasn pa ring gawin sa mga interview -- research! 👍🏻 Sayang daw at overtime.. Eheheh 😄😄😄
