North Korea has been flying balloons filled with waste material into South Korea.
RETALIATE
Hundreds of balloons have landed around the South Korean capital of Seoul since May. They carried trash, including bodily waste. North Korea said it was to retaliate for a South Korean campaign criticizing the North Korean government.
To retaliate is to hurt or harm someone because they have hurt or harmed you. Retaliate is similar to striking back or seeking revenge.
