After the Ukrainian experience, it is unlikely that Russia would invade my country (Finland), because compared to the small size of our population, we are a very great military power by European standards. For example, we have approximately the same number of main battle tanks as Germany, which has 15x as many people, and they are all modern. Similarly, our artillery is one of the strongest in Europe. We also have a huge and highly motivated reserve to operate those weapons. This country would surely be a graveyard for Russian invaders.

@@SpartanMap More like the USSR. Russia is clearly trying to repeat the Winter War. They failed a lot of their goals back in 1939 - 1940 due to the Finnish resistance and Winter which ironically is a natural protection of Russia from their enemies trying to take over Moscow. If another 175,000 or 190,000 troops mount up at Finland and try to invade it, I guarantee you that it will go far worse than in Ukraine. You cannot underestimate the power of small countries just because you think they are small and have small armies but they can create great resistance if effective enough to push back the even well trained armies. Just because Russia is a superpower (doubtfully) doesn't mean they can win easily against Ukraine. Ukraine has shown great resistance plus the strategical and logistical failure of the Russian Army to take Kyiv in short amount of time. Its an endgame for Russia! Russia will soon crumble and accept its great loss for terrorizing its neighbors over the years.

@Ercan Banks According to Nikita Khrushchev, Russia lost one million soldiers in war against Finland (Wikipedia). @MKarhu052 жыл бұрын
@Ercan Banks Read into the two wars Finland had against Russia (Wikipedia or some military history book), you'll be impressed; note: sharpshooter Simo Häyhä 505 (or 550) kills - the highest in history. In the end Finland lost, of course, against a 10-times size army; but was able to hang onto its independence (the only country around Russia that did so).. Another reference, worldpopulationreview, shows 95,000 WWII military deaths for Finland - so, about 1/10 of the Russians killed against Finland (assuming Khrushchev exaggerated by 100,000). During the winter war, this crazy ratio of kills was bound to happen: the Finnish army was in white camouflage outfits, disappearing into the snow, while the Russians were wearing some dreary grey - visible from hundreds of metres away. Almost felt sorry for the aggressors, now simply target practice. Plus the Finnish army, on silent skis, carried out some brilliant defense manoeuvres.
