so, uh, i fell in love with newsies. and like, i've been thinking about how it'd be pretty cool if there was a newsies but with Queer Characters, because we love that in this household. so i fired up ye olde editor and made this! (in the middle of editing this i then realize that jack's so fucking touchy with davey in 92sies and. hm. i have Plans for a 92sies edit now...)

Even though people weren’t shunning they community and treating them like monsters or untouchables, they were still under much judgement for their homosexuality/bisexuality/pansexuality/basically any sexuality that wasn’t straight. That’s why Javid wasn’t in the film. And I think the amount of time the characters spent in close proximity would’ve made them much more affectionate with each other. Keep in mind that the actors had the amount of time that their characters would’ve spent together in it before hand. Honestly, even though Davey was pretty smart, he was also pretty timid, and Jack, being probably the boldest of them all, had a protective eye on the guy. Smarts can be used against their bearers. I made that quote up by the way, unless you’ve seen it before.

We legit agreed that in the movie Jack had more chemistry with David and in the musical, the chemistry with Katherine is there, but because we both LOVE CRUTCHIE SO FREAKING MUCH AND THEY HAD THEIR MOMENTS, he should've ended up with Crutchie.
