I was a child actor in the 80's...made to work by my abusive mom. I was also sexually assaulted...I'm telling you, the anger against the adults who exploited me was real. This movie inspired me to keep my head up and stay hopeful that someday..."the world will know, and the world will see"...what was done to me. Now I'm an adult and I'm suing.

i had this recorded off of TV and watched it over and over. I had such a crush on Christian Bale. I was the only person in the theater when I saw “Newsies”. A few more people were in the theater for “Swing Kids”. “Little Women” was still sparse because we saw it on Christmas Day.
