I feel that both versions have their qualities and I appreciate both...I think now they should do a new movie with a mashup haha....Hey listen.... I'd watch ANYTHING Newsies...I have no shame.

The original Newsies were better. Also, to the person saying there are more characters in the musical, there were just as many characters in the movie... Kid Blink, Snitch, Boots, Bumlets, and Snipeshooter to name a few.

I just think the new cast is more... lovable. I mean in the movie, I only liked some of the characters, but with more characters and character development I loved every single person (even the bad guys!) in the new musical. Plus, it's not shown here, but the stage version has characters like Romeo and Buttons and Albert and you don't see that as much in the movie, from what I remember.
