@@wolfamv8136 That isint the Indian sense of Federalism. We as a country are a Union. but the states have absolutely no sovereignty. This is a constitutionally established, judicially determined principle. States are independent within their ambit, however they have no right to existence. The parliament can even for administrative purposes change the boundaries of the State.

There may be another POV: 1. Bottom-up approch: regional issues will come on national platform through there representation. 2. Reduced disparity: If people elect there regional party they will be guided by there co-states development and their performance as well, it will lead more equitable and people centric growth. For example if parallel election run in UP and Kerala, may be residents of UP learn to question their state government on public welfare, HDI, PCI etc. 3. Governence efficiency: In elections not just politicians but our civil servents also get engaged, this affects governance. 4. Ensure stability and strengthened federalism: states will less likely to suffer preseident rule, as their representation are better in parliament. But all this will happen only, when people prefer local development over national issues. As our local development is foundation for our national building. Note: I'm not arguing to sideline national issues like security and integrity, but I'm conveying to prefer local development.

I agree with One Nation and One Election with the following conditions 1) Each party must declare how they going to achieve targets of national interest mentioned in their manifesto like a) saving environment b) education c) health d) corruption e) impartial judiciary & administration f) women safety etc etc 2) a board comprising of CJI, LoP, Professors and eminent journalists be formed to review what the govt achieve after 2.5 years, if it achieves 75-80% of the target they can continue else the party who got 2nd highest votes shall be allowed to form the govt, repeat the same process till next election.

Even though its helping voters to invest there time and effort for once in 5 years. It will create less choices for voters to elect a party, as party just need to do there marketing once for all states. Holding election for different time for different state is chaotic, but voters get time to think based on election happened for other states and how good and bad the marketing strategies parties in these states applied. It is very important as marketing these days does not have good reputation.
