I am just a lay person. about dowry law, When I was a kid, everyday there were multiple dowry death news in newspapers. But it's reduced now, how? due to law. One man committed suicide. There will be investigation. Everyone jumping into conclusion that he is victim,law is wrong. Feminism is culprit. Women are still vulnerable . This law is supposed to protect vulnerable women, in their in law's house. It's necessary. Nobody going to save a woman in their inlaw's house,if they have wrong intention. Everywhere now men showing their intolerant side due to this incident. Laws has been misused. People have been deprived of basic human rights in the name of law. No one ask to change law at that time. When come to women right? Every one comes out of their gentleman disguise.

Faye D Souza needs to understand that she can talk for such men without talking about the problems on the other side, just like how talking about feminism is important after a rape case and it should not invite talks about “men’s rights”. It is of paramount importance to talk about feminism and its role in preventing crimes against women when a tragedy happens (and even generally), but it is equally important to talk about how women misuse these laws with their lawyers. Moreover, talking about what such men are going through will touch on feminism because it essentially preaches equality. So, whataboutery never helps on either side.

Manisha is saying shame people who misuse dowry laws. I want to ask her are dowry takers shamed publicly in our country? No marriage where I come from is taking place without dowry. And dowry has transformed into a status symbol instead of being seen as a crime that it is.
