We the people from Jammu have been totally sidelined from media reports during these elections and there's a general disappointment among the masses here that they are always ignored at the behest of Kashmir and Kashmir centric politics. Great to see reporting from Kashmir! However, the small sample size only scratches the surface. We're missing out on the stories of PhD students, researchers, and faculty who are directly affected by the region's politics. To truly understand the challenges faced by Kashmir's youth, we need to hear from a wider range of voices. Including more diverse perspectives would add depth and nuance to the conversation. Same flaw was with the Rahul Gandhi's conversation with cherrypicked women from Kashmir.

BJP's main aim is to destroy Jammu and Kashmir. It was one of the prosperous state and of course beautiful. But it has lost everything now. Our power is sold to other states but we don't enjoy the fruits of our own. We have to shell out huge power bills without using it . This is injustice to the people. You mentioned the “communal angle” of the Kashmiri Pandit migration. There's a lot to unpack regarding that, but within the larger context of the Kashmir conflict and its history, which I obviously can’t do here. But I have a quick question: In how many states of India has there been communal violence against Muslims (or should I call it what it is-Genocides?). Did those Muslims leave their homeland in mass numbers? How many Kashmiris have been killed? (Let’s go with your bedtime story that it wasn’t communal, sure, okay.) Why didn’t Kashmiri Muslims leave Kashmir then? Now, take the two examples I gave you and add the nature of the conflict in Kashmir and the context of the “Pandit migration.” If Muslims in other Indian states or in Kashmir had left their homes, (and shifted to some different states) what would you have labelled that?
