Just watched the movie tonight, and enjoyed it very much. I'm kind of disappointed now, in hearing all of the things they got wrong, that they didn't have to. God bless you, Sgt. Rex, you touched my heart so deeply, and God bless Megan, and all of our other soldiers who fought, and still fight, so valiantly to protect us.

I got a 6-week-old male German Shepard puppy, Max a few months before I watched this movie, and If I had seen this movie first I would've named him Rex, he is very much a one oner dog, and he's so protective of me. Awesome story! Thanks for your service, and of course Rex also.

From An Iraqi thank you so much for the lives that you saved I was in Rumadi 2006 September as student in Anabar University I pray that we don’t see that moments again where people body all over the city and gun fire start and we as civilians we don’t know where to hide our self from the USMC snipers and terrorist mortars flying above us to the US camps or IEDS on the road let pray that the missing pease after 2003 settle down and pray for the innocent life gone from Iraqis or American latter on I became a linguist with 1/2 marines

I have nothing against our soldiers male and female, brown or white. But something I can't stand is the fact that how many brave soldiers, EOD guys, Bomb sniffing handlers and Dogs. Die or live. And I have not yet met a soldier who has had national fame, has been given an award at a Sports Stadium. Like Megan leavey. Or the other movie of some other marine and his handler. What makes all these soldiers special. They risked/risk their hide. Oh and by the way I am A US citizen and I am 22yrs old for people who might call me a kid. I love our soldiers but give everyone of our soldier's the same fame.

John Islas the fame Megan Leavey is recieving is not only due to her service but because she jumped through multiple hoops to do what was right for her war hero friend.

The award she was given was earned when she was wounded in battle, her purple heart, that was stolen. The event at the ball game was not really about Meagan, it was about everyone who helped and supported her in her efforts to adopt Rex. It was a thank you from Meagan and Rex to all the people who helped her adopt Rex so he could avoid being euthanized after his retirement, which was what happens if the dog is deemed un-adoptable, as Rex was.

Wow. Meagan and Mara, besides having somewhat similar faces, they sound similar. I just watched a thing with Mara and initially thought it was Mara speaking after introduction. Not the same, but definitely similar in voice and speach. I think I read that they are from same area.

Jack@ss! Soldiers, sailors, Marines, airmen and Coasties go where they are ordered to go. She volunteered to serve her country. Also animals have been used in warfare since at least Alexander the Great, nothing new there either. Should we have gone to Iraq? I would say yes, though it had little to do with 9/11, and more do with finishing the job of Desert Storm (taking out the Iraqi government was the original plan) but the Saudi's wanted that regime left in place as a buffer against Iran. This concludes the most basic of history lessons.
