The more information that comes out the more heartbreaking it gets. I thought that what had originally come out was horrendous. Now I'm sitting here shaking my head and thinking about the terror these children, young adults were feeling. I remember being that age and still missing my mom and my dad. Of course I was in college, but that didn't mean anything. I still needed my parents. In some ways, a lot of ways, you are still very much a kid at that age. You're just learning about the real world, and not from the bubble of protection from our parents, and some don't even get that. This is horrible. I feel so deeply for all the parents and siblings of the kids. No one deserves this. 😔

It's quite possible the coroner was saying what needed to be said at that point in time to keep details from getting out. They hadn't yet arrested a suspect, and we also know that law enforcement said initially that the surviving roommates were both sleeping on the first floor when the murders occurred, which we now know wasn't the case. Reading the PCA, it seems to me that Xana was found nearer her bedroom door, Ethan *in* the room. "As I approached the room, I could see a body, later identified as Kernodle's, laying on the floor. Kernodle was deceased with wounds which appeared to have been caused by an edged weapon. Also in the room was a male, later identified as Ethan Chapin..." This reads as Xana being near or in the doorway, Ethan further in.

Xana was likely "awake and aware"? Yet no screaming or anything to rouse the other roommates. And if Ethan were attacked in the hallway, whether his body was found there or not, there would be blood EVERYWHERE in that hallway. And you're telling me that Dylan and/or Bethany didn't see a drop of blood when they woke up? Or the God awful smell? But yet instead of calling police, they called friends over because they thought Xana or Ethan had "passed out". Come on, this story just keeps getting more ridiculous.
@april_mae513 Жыл бұрын
Yes! This also contradicts the probably cause affidavit - the officer describes seeing xana's body as he walks to her room and then sees Ethan's body in the room too. Unless the friends and surviving roommates moved the bodies. Bc it doesn't align with reports about Ethan friend finding his body and calling 911... did he walk over xanas body? Didn't check her body for a pulse? It's just not adding up.
@tomvan6008 Жыл бұрын
Ethan could have been in the doorway and not the hallway listening as he heard BK move around and been the person Dylan heard "there is somebody here". As there was no blood in the hallway or living room we know the attack didn't happen in either. BK slashes him in the neck and pushes him back onto the bed. Xana then puts up a fight and dies and her body was found close to the bedroom doorway as a detective who arrived later at the scene said he looked down from the living room and could see Xanas body on the floor. He closes the door to Maddie's and Xana's bedroom and hence the roommates would never know until they opened the door.
@LourdesGzz2 жыл бұрын
The description on the affidavit was that Xana was in her bedroom, on the floor and she was the first body seen by the police, and then Ethan's body was described to be inside her room (it doesn't state if he was on the bed or the floor) So then why are you speculating with non-factual information?

If you survived, once the adrenaline and shock has worn off, the pain would be acute.

@@atheistbewildered2987 some outside doors are solid wood or reinforced. Oh well I am 5 ft 9 in and weigh almost 200 lb I can kick in almost any outside door with not much effort. Unless it's braced where the locks are. Basically push open locked interior doors destroying the door itself. They are made for honest people if they have locks on them in the house. Or somebody is aware enough to put a solid door and possibly another bolt or two on it that help hold somebody out in an emergency situation. Ethan went out because he heard commotion going on and turned around and basically came almost face-to-face with the perpetrator and ran back in and managed to lock the door somebody pursuing him with his adrenaline flowing would walk right through that door. I've got five daughters ranging from 13 up to 35. Each one of them how to used firearms and have bought most of them one. I don’t know why but since the beginning of this horrible tragedy, I’ve said, “It’s going to be found that Ethan was/forever is a hero.” There truly is *something* unique/special about Ethan’s smile ( perfect name for the tulips honoring his smile). You can see the light and kindness inside him externally- in his smile and his eyes. His entire countenance was bright. He was a true young man- he instinctively felt the responsibility to get up and protect a home full of young women. Sadly, it was another young man that preyed on that home because it was full of young women. We have a hero and a real villain in this true story. And both will forever be remembered as such.
