It could have been filmed and edited before 2004 officially had started. I'm sure they had a certain amount of episodes banked away and this episode just happened to be produced and edited in 2003 and they didn't update the end roll for 2004 when it came

TechTV numbered the 2004 episodes from #01-04 to #55-04, and when G4 took over, they numbered the rest of the year from #256-#326. And that second post, yes, that's a possibility.
