We get very busy during Diwali time first step is to clean the entire house clutter-free then next is preparing the home made sweets like chakli besan labor karanji means gujia sev chivda etc then preparing the sumptuous lunch preparation like shrikhand basundi masala bhat puri etc then also shopping to be done like new clothes gold jewelry and household gadgets and utensils etc then comes bhaiduj inviting brother for lunch and relatives too then lighting lanterns and akash Kandil and decorating the house with rangoli So we get tired too and busy but its fun and looking forward to I am a maharashtrian from Pune but very happy to see your excitement for our festivals and culture do visit India and Pune too welcome and love

20:58 Shubh "Utsav" bhi bola ja sakta hai aur Shubh "Avsar" bhi. Usually, "Shubh Avsar" bolte hain. Avsar means Occasion. Utsav means Festival. I would recommend you to not get confused and make a practice of saying "Shubh Avsar" always.
