in Assam the poha people uses usually not same as other parts of India, its a bit different kind of rice. But same you could have with all kind of Poha, just need thick curd (dahi). In Assam there is sabji made from 101 herbs.

Thank you for the reaction. waiting for the other parts too. Sandoh guri - First steam or boil the uncooked rice. Then put it on a bamboo or plastic sieve to pour water and to dry and cover with a cotton cloth . After that when it will dry , fry it in medium flame. fry until it becomes a little bit reddish. Then in grinder or dheki or urol make its power form. Its sandoh guri. It was about river islands. largest one is Majuli (District: Majuli, ) smallest one is Umananda(Guwahati)

Assam me ek rice hota hai jise hum uhuwa rice bolte hai (uhuwa ka matlab hai boiled ). Jo ek paddy ko boiled karke uske silke nikal dete hai. Silka nikalne ke baad jo rice milta hai use uhuwa rice bolte hai... Ab is uhuwa rice thodi der ke liye dry roast karte hai. Uske baad thoda thandi karke dheki ki madad se torte hai. Ab jo rice ke gurgure dane hote hai use hi hum sandoh guri bolte hai.... Dheki ek tarah ki chakki hai but isse pero se salate hai.....
