Introduction of UPI was not at all easy. First when Modiji came to power he made sure that everyone has a bank account crores of bank account were opened isse hua kya? 1. Sarkar jo paise bhejti hai garrebo ko woh seedha bank account me jata hai no middlemen 2. Preparation of UPI as bank account aadhar card and phone no se linked tha.

In my city, there was rental bicycle system. I used to pay Rs.5 for half an hour ride using UPI. When I went bank, the passbook printer was not working that day. My passbook was not updated since long time. So I requested at bank counter. Can you believe, my whole passbook entries was only of Rs.5, Rs.5, Rs.5,......... !!! I think the people outside of India are not understanding the scale at which UPI is being used. Those QR code stickers are literally everywhere in India, from a chai stall to a Jewellry shop. Me and my friends regularly use gpay to pay 6 rupees for the chai we drink at the chai stall near our street.

The function of UPI is to connect all the digital payment services and bring them under one shelter. Before UPI it was not possible to cross transfer from one account from one payment service to another account on another payment service. It was only possible to transfer from one account on one service to another account on that same service. UPI connected all of it.

We can pay for anything like literally for everything. 1 rupee ka chocolate bhi ho aap UPI se transaction kr sakte hai aur maximum se maximum 1 Lakh rupees ka transaction bhi kar sakte hai. I use UPI from 2017. Also NPCI or National Payments Corporation Of India is planning to launch UPI in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan from 2022 onwards.
