SHOULD HISTORY JUDGE DR MANMOHAN SINGH KINDLY.. In India they have a strange characteristic that, when a person dies, they forget his history and glorify him as faultless n divine. Indians, choose to perceive the dead with goodness n that whatever he or she did, was all good. Manmohan Singh was the 14th Prime Minister of India n served the office from 2004 to 2014 . He rose from very humble beginnings n through scholarships earned a PHD in economics from Oxford University. He was a skillful economist n served the World Bank n was also Governor of the Reserve bank of India. As the Chief Economist of the finance ministry he followed the economic policies of the Party in power. Came 1991 the Indian economy collapse, n India had to borrow from the IMF under stringent reform policies. The media tends to credit DR Manmohan Singh too much, for all the reforms that took place in those difficult years. While too little credit is given to PM Narasimaroa who actually lead the Change. Much of India's economic liberalization was the efforts of Narasimroa.. He navigated the country through difficult challenges. Off course by his side was his trusted Finance Minister Dr Manmohan Singh who executed the reform process in the best way he could. DR M S was a great economist in many aspects, but to say he was faultless as a PM is a misnomer. In 2004 he was selected by his party to be the Prime Minister of Indian. This office he would hold till 2014. His political career as PM was fitted with many contraversie, so he should be given a fair n truthful assessment. We have to acknowledge in his 2nd term in office, his government was marked with so many financial scams. ..something he was often made to answer on the Parliament floor. ON occasions out of shere exasperation he would blamed it on the compulsion of coalition politics. He took the flak for the corruption of his cabinet n the bureaucracy n never once passing the blame on to the congress party or to Sonia Ghandi. Sonia who was party president n ran a parallel government with an unelected n unelectable national advisory council that was directly reporting to her. In this itself there was an interesting personality trait in DR Manmohan Singh for his unshakeable loyalty for the Ghandi family, even at the cost of taking the blame for the party's decision. By the time he left the PM SHIP his government was riddled with corruption...The pit falls were many because there was the 2g scam, the CWG scam, the Colgate Scam, the Adarsh Scam, the Commonwealth Games Scam, the Kargli Scam, the cash for vote scam, the Radia tape scam, the Nalanda University scam and many more .. Because of his quiet n meek personality the Congress party found it convenient to allow him to take the blame. Rahul Ghandi knew that DR SINGH was a quiet gentleman who had the patience to endured the difficult leaders in Congress. On one occasion Rahul Ghandi tore a propose bill in public, by displaying his rudeness to DR Singh. So when we recount DR MANMOHAN's life, we must also recount his achievements n his failures n we must acknowledge his faults n his contributions to the nation. Even in death we must do a truly honest n neutral account of his life..Dr Manmohan Singh was indeed a good technocrat n Good Civil Servant, who became an accidental Prime Minister of India . In the 2014 General elections, The Congress party faced their defeat from the the BJP n when conceding defeat he praised his worth opponent MODI n had this to say " I hope history will judge me kindly, much more kindly than the commentary media has.." On 27th December 2024 Dr Manmohan Singh died of old age at 92 years.

Congress has no shame in asking all these things. Let us turned back and see MMS got this position because of PV NARASIMHA RAO , the stallwar leader from SOUTH INDIA . PV from beginning reforms man , he worked in all positions in CONGRESS and he never changed party. His contributions are not forgettable. He only identified the current generation CONGRESS LEADERS when he was PM and given good positions in party and Governance. In that process only MMS got chance to work as FM . Now the Congress is asking something which couldn't give to PV when they are in power. Now simply for gain some votes they are raising this issue and branding as sikkh PM. Frankly speaking MMS is not vote getter and he himself lost in direct election back stabbed by CONGRESS. That time they didn't remember he is Sikkh and party should find winning or safe seat for MMS , now they all do this drama which will hurt more Congress than benefit.

Which side of the river is holier is now up for debate! Disappointing, only in Bharat can you have discussions about such petty things. Divide and rule politics is practiced by Indi A-members even after the death of a politician. Dozens of bodies are cremated every day> a debate must be held about building electric crematorium to combat air pollution in a city of millions.
