For boards, yes its enough ( but you need to learn some derivations ig) For mains, ( yes its enough but you need to solve good level of ques, if you are unable to do so, switch to someone else, i recommend physics galaxy) For advance, no its not

No the answer is correct you can see the the 5kg box is falling downwards and the acceleration in respect to it is positive although it is taken in downward direction but the box is also moving with it that's why there is positive sign
