But, to understand the genius of Newton, we need to read his book, also there is a modern interpretation of Newton's math and physics written by Noble Laureate S.Chandrashekar in his book Newton's Principia for the Common Reader. Personally, I am very interested in reading biographies of great physicists and mathematicians and seeing the awe in so many great mathematicians and physicists about Newton puts things in perspective. See one thing to keep in mind that Laws and theories are different Laws are always true ( atleast in a specific domain. for example Newton's laws are always true in our world ( nature) that tooo not for quantum size particles.....if it holds true everywhere then it is said as law) But when we come to theory it is still not yet pooved in a big scale So here in 16 or 17th century where people would be very happy if they get food in that time Newton has developed calculus and classical mechanics which is the stepping stone for entire physics and engineering one biggest plus point of the newton is he had solved the problem of motion ( in his book he clearly mentioned that natural state of a body is rest and MOTION also.....this has changed the world ) Actually Aristotle has give a very wrong intusion that natural state of body is to be at rest but that is not true..... This is utterly disgusting hearing from a teacher who teaches physics. Newton was good, but there's no point in comparing two scientists almost 150 years apart between death and birth. Not just that, Einstein created (of course not single handedly) two most important branches of modern and non-traditional physics- Q Mech and Relativity. The two fundamental pillars of physics. You can't dream of modern life without the applications of these two theories. Moreover, it would be historically inaccurate and almost a blatant lie to say that Newton single handedly created Calculus. Leibneitz did it too. In fact, he completed his drafts and manuscripts a year prior to Newton. But Newton, being a member of Royal Society, got the administrative upper hand and thereby crushed Leibneitz's legacy. So all in all, this sickens me to hear this man talking so low of Einstein, even going to the extent of saying 'no modern scientist have had more impact than Newton'. Historically inaccurate and wrong again.
