MK9 Kitana was the true combo queen, even better than MKX Kitana in terms of getting high damage and her amazing long, flashy and beautiful combos. Her enhanced and canceling fans were insanely good! It was by far the best combo extension in the whole game! Not to mention you also had the fan lift, which allowed to make even more damage. When you see this goddess of a character compared to the one in MK11, it seems like MK11 came out first and then we had mk9 and x.

Mikhail The Greatest Dragon that’s fair, but it is crazy that so many of the roster has advantages/OP tactics or tools. Poor Stryker, kind of makes me feel bad that his last appearance was lackluster. But, then again, we have some popular low-tier/mediocre/weak characters in every game and they eventually have another entry where they perform better (here’s to hoping that poor Kitana will be redeemed in MK12!)

But everybody from casual to pros enjoy playing it and watching . Why that doesn't transfer to mk 11? Idk. Nrs is the black sheep of the fgc .

@@jimthekidd Just like you said 90% of players are not going to know those bomb resets, Kabal cancels, etc. If you were playing online you were usually in that middle area where everybody gets hit with 40% max. And you can really win with anybody.

The gaming industry caters to them because they feed them money and free advertisement.

@@KaanYener07 The game isn't balanced, the overall strength of the characters is lower so it feels more balanced. There's still as large a gap between characters as other fighting games except now that every character sucks it's less noticeable. MK9 Took an "If everyone is broken, no one will be" MK11 is an "if everyone sucks ass, no one will" The things that make characters good in mk11 is not having broken tools, it's having tools that don't suck. The game tries it's hardest to make every string give the opponent their turn back/put the opponent fullscreen so scrubs can spend more time walking/mashing before they get their ass beat anyway and quit.
