Eliza knew about Hamilton's relationship with Maria, first of all. She just didn't want it to be public. So, technically speaking, Hamilton ruined his relationship with Eliza. Also, he was a grown man. He could have easily declined Maria's offer to have an affair, and he chose to do it anyways. He chose to open up to the community and publish the Reynolds Pamphlet. He chose to ruin his life, he had a say in it, and he said yes. Maria, however, did not have a say in him publishing the Reynolds pamphlet. She had to constantly move and changed her name on multiple occasions, because Hamilton not only destroyed his marriage, but hers as well. And, on top of that, he ruined his career by taking government funds AND openly admitting to it. Yes, she did have an affair with Hamilton. It was a wrong decision, but she was lonely, and her husband was a major jerk. She is not a villain. Hamilton had control over the situation, and he used it in a way that ruined his life.

My mom is taking me on Broadway and a second time with a friend when the tour comes to our state cause they are coming to a theater literally like 40 minutes away from my house. I’m excited af but I also feel bad cause I have a feeling her bank account is starving for some greens right now 😂😂. So I snuck 60 dollars into her wallet today and I’m getting a job in the summer and I’m going to keep sneaking the money I’m making into her wallet but I’m doing it subtly (like a 10 dollar bill every two weeks) so she doesn’t notice cause she doesn’t like it when people pay her, especially her children. She always treats others but refuses it when people try to spoil her. Well, this Hamilton thing is so expensive and she is literally like an Angelica and an Eliza combined, she’s the most beautiful independent kindest woman you will ever meet and I will pay her back no matter what😂.
