@@mozlover5 It’s 5 years if you let them. There are many mechanisms available for you to fight. Support your civil society, don’t legitimize illegal governments, stay politically active and never give up. The system has already shown so many cracks because it’s unsustainable to govern through sheer violence and coercion. Furthermore, it’s becoming more expensive to keep their support systems happy and loyal (the police force and crooked public officials). Lastly, even the likes of Hitler, Mussolini and Pol Pot fell, so what does a little Frelimo count for?

There are only two means. Ramaphosa was alone in Moz. No other presidents came, even from Angola. There are only two means: the need for electricity from Moz, the favourable trade to SA, and the fear of migrants in large numbers. Ramaphosa is not a friend of the people in Moz. Maputo city is closed today. Police and militaries are everywhere. There were more than three killings during the time that Ramaphosa and other "friends" were around Chapo.

It’s probably deeper than that. I’m not sure such a psychopath cares much about the South African economy or its citizens. If he’s willing to go to such lengths to even further tarnish his reputation, then it must have something to do with Mozambique being known as the Heroin Coast. Notice how violent the reaction was when the Komatiport/Ressano Garcia border was closed for a short period.
