If it were even possible to apply the principles of racial quotas to socio-economic distribution, then it follows that 7% of the homeless and the residents of informal settlements and townships would be white; 7% of farm workers would be white; 7% of the unemployed would be white, 7% of the under-educated would be white, and so on. In other words, the socio-economic profile of South Africa would not have altered significantly. You would simply have distributed _poverty,_ to practically no benefit other than the sense of satisfaction in settling an old score. The great majority of the black population would continue to live in the same poverty and hardship. This is the problem with attributing the social and economic problems of the country to a single ethnic minority, as the EFF and MK have to do, constantly, in order to sustain their constituencies (and thereby gain access to power and its attendant opportunities to plunder the fiscus). Even if you were somehow to dispossess that scapegoated ethnic minority of its _wealth,_ and apportion it equally across society, it would be a very short-lived project, for the simple reason that unlike poverty (which is a lack) wealth is something that needs to be in a state of permanent generation, which in turn means that the economy must grow in order to create employment, income, consumer demand, corporate and personal tax, government spending, social welfare. To put it crudely, the EFF and MK have in common an ideology premised largely on two human weaknesses - envy and irresponsibility.

We the black middle class voted DA for jobs to be created by white people. For 30 years, with our education and majority we failed to create jobs for our people. We're clapping for DA 'cause we'll be flocking white established businesses and institutions with our CVs looking for class and fake status. The poor are not as euphoric, they are working the land and keeping livestock in the their villages to feed themselves. At least they understand the significance of ownership even at a smaller scale. Spaza shops make billions which leaves SA but we don't see that as an economy. We have abondoned mines, farms, factories and buildings but we're making nothing out of it. Our excitement about DA is a reflection of our failure as the people, not unity. Count me out!
