No. KZN has these weather conditions and has had them for years. We just never heard about it. Now we see it more because of social media. No curse. This region is prone to storms and floods. I live in a suburb in Durban and over 20 years out house has flooded to various degrees about 8 times. You learn to live with it or move somewhere else. I personally love KZN and made as many provisions to minimize damage from storms and flooding. Saying a place is cursed because of weather which is completely natural for the region is silly. Government needs to move people off floodplains and to safer areas in permanent structurally sound homes.

​@@Freya1412 Illegal low lying areas occupants are prone to cause issues for safety and rescue teams. People dont wanna learn maybe best their ignored. Floods can happen anywhere but some people just like breaking the law with land nonsense then damage the nature and get washed away anyway. Flooding sucks although never experienced it myseld, but some just putting others at risk by being lawless

@@Freya1412 For at least since around 2017 I'd say, 'cause before then it hadn't been this bad (that tornado in Howick, this one in Tongaat, the flooding along the coastal areas every year) it's all recent. The earliest I experienced flooding in KZN before the 2010s was in 2007/2008. Even the Eastern Cape is experiencing these weather conditions. Perhaps it's climate change...
