I know the lead singer , Andrea. I used to teach her 2 boys gymnastics. She and her husband are the greatest. She is very modest and I didn’t know she was the lead of The Flirts. So great to see her performing. She is just as gorgeous now!

An underrated and great 80's tune. The Flirts had many members and I don't think the women in the video are the same on the bandstand clip but who cares? They were fun. Kudos to American Bandstand for allowing the KZbin Broadcasts. At this point, these clips are an entertaining and historical time piece that should be shared with us all. Thank you Dick Clark heirs and company for getting this salute to american music out for the public to enjoy.

I do know the brunette was Rebecca. She was the last of the original Flirts that was still in the band in the mid-80s. I met he in Los Angeles around that time. She was still gorgeous and very nice. Not sure who the other two were, but they were the classic lineup of the Flirts.

On this day in 1983 {September 3rd} the Flirts performed "Jukebox (Don't Put Another Dime)" on the above episode of the ABC-TV Saturday afternoon program, 'American Bandstand'... The year before on October 31st, 1982 "Jukebox" peaked at #28 {for 1 week} on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play Songs chart... And on the same 'Bandstand' show the trio also performed "Telephone", the song was track one on side two from their 1983 album 'Born To Flirt'.. Between 1982 and 1986 the trio had seven records on the Dance Club Play Songs chart, two made the Top 10 with one reaching #1, "You and Me" for 1 week in 1985... Besides "You and Me", their other Top 10 record was "New Toy", it reached #5 in 1986...

Let me start by saying I LOVE THIS SONG. However this performance is hilarious. When the middle girl mimes her part the other two sing along with her when you can clearly hear it's only one voice on the track, and the other two take turns miming to the exact same voice in different parts of the song...lol.. Ya gotta love the 80's... :)

The whole performance was lip synched, which was common practice on AB. Actually these are not the same voices on the original recording of this song. I believe the brunette on the right (Rebecca) was one of the original girls during the lineup of this era of the band.

It is hilarious to see all three singers randomly lipsynch to the same vocal track taking turns as if they were different singers. In the actual music video, the brunette and the redhead lipsynch to other parts. It's like they didnt even care to pretend well that they were the singers.

saneman666 that was basically what the flirts were. Usually models that were hired to lip-sync to Studio songs that Johnny Orlando put together in the studio. Most of the people back in the 80s knew that it was lip syncing and no big secret. As a kid back then, I was probably the only person not in on it being that I never really saw alive or video performance of any of these songs and was made aware of them through my friends were DJs. Pretty much, the fans just accepted the entertainment at face value. I've been listening to their greatest hits lately and as cheesy as a songs were, and in many cases the singing subpar, I still love this stuff. I love the songs that were recorded in the studios and the fake actresses who lip-sync there songs. You got to love that Johnny O., he was brilliant.
