To add to the red cards, if they add it to Heroic, they can now sell fam cards for monsters that are rare or not farmable anymore with NX. Kinda like fam cosmetic. I bet a lot of people are willing to spend money to customize them.

Maybe Pitch Boss Shard System done like this: ~Every boss that can drop pitch boss equipment, you are guaranteed as a client-side drop, 1 shard per boss as the minimum and maximum. This will be a Heroic exclusive feature. - Black Mage will drop 5 shards. - Extreme variations of these bosses will drop 5x their hard/chaos counterpart, so Extreme Black Mage will drop 20 shards, everyone else drops 5 shards. ~After 50 Shards, you can exchange them for 1 pitch boss equipment of your choice, except for Genesis Badge. - If you wait until you have 200 shards, then you can exchange 200 shards for 1 Genesis Badge (this is because it is a monthly drop). This will keep the equipment set very rare and hard to acquire, but at the same time allow for a guaranteed way to acquire the items for Heroic Worlds. Interactive Worlds have trade so they do not need this system and would mess with the economy if they increase the supply of pitch drops.

For familiars, add in for the fee of mesos Glowing Cards and Bright Cards, the same price as Glowing Cubes and Bright Cubes, allowing familiars to easily both rank up potential, roll for lines, and finally unlock legendary potential familiars for Heroic Worlds.

I want them to address boss drops and star forcing. For star forcing, make it a reasonable system. They're localizing for us, so make it more tailored to how GMS needs to be played on a global scale. Reducing costs and removing drop chances chief among them. For boss drops, I actually like the idea of a coin system. Have hard bosses drop one coin and all the others drop another. Exchange coins for equips. Having the numbers at like 50 hard boss coins for pitched and somewhere around 5 to 25 for normal and dawn boss is probably the most reasonable things they could do that would smooth out progression for all players.

Fams are annoying still for 280+ characters that want sixth progress too( no one wants to feel like they are making backwards progress. Buffing the fd passive back would solve everything, the game is in amazing spot and it’s natural evolution just makes sense

Keep in mind, GMS systems are both for interactive and heroic, and interactive has even more system and stronger variations of certain systems - like familiars - than for heroic. This results in, the damage gap between Heroic and Interactive is even more extreme for GMS than it is for KMS. They have to buff Heroic Worlds damage across the board through the final damage passive at this point, might not have to match interactive damage, but at least get it somewhat close.

All of these suggestions are great, but I'm pretty sure Nexon(GMS) is not keen on trying to alleviate and make players stronger in heroic. The reason being is that, if they did add all these things to heroic, it would probably further gut the people playing interactive. The average reboot player is far stronger than the average interactive player. I know people like to counter with how heroic must be profitable if they're choosing to make changes in the global version to keep reboot but it's still a significant source of revenue monetizing from people in interactive with red cards, cubes, specialty cubes, etc. It's a sort of catch 22 where they can't actually make it faster and easier because they'll just leech players or lose them outright which results in less profits. This is part of the reason why we still have dogshit SSb's and chance based monetization still in heroic rather than the better cash shop in KMS, because there's no real good way to monetize heroic without the majority of f2p players in reboot making a fuss. Truthfully speaking if they are able to monetize better in heroic(at the detriment to f2p players), I think we'd actually see red cards, pitched pity, and a lot more QoL because it would alleviate the revenue problem and they'd be able to justify making heroic even stronger and faster to progress in even if they leech paying players from interactive to heroic.

honestly, they should cater to the majority of the players. If they don't plan on straight up killing GMS heroic, then since the majority of the playerbase is in Heroic, they should give us these QoL to keep us happy and also buff reg in some way to equalize it. Things like making frenzy more accessible or other changes. (im not sure what reg players want)

@@ryanhoang1123 That's one way to do it, but your decision would probably make reboot something closer to reg server. They would have to introduce more p2w aspects to keep the game afloat if they wanted to focus on a single path of localization favoring reboot. People already default choose Heroic servers because of the better QoL and progression speed. Keep in mind, the elephant in the room is that there is a massive amount of revenue from the way interactive is set up, and the actual game and how it's iterated on comes ultimately from KMS which has interactive world's structures in mind with balance patches and content. It's already difficult enough to try and deviate, but now that reboot is axed in KMS, it's even more of an issue as to how they try and go about it without any roadmap. In my mind, I think the changes heroic wants in a way to further the FD bonus, pitch pity, and some sort of better familiar system change is warranted and would make the game a lot better. For interactive, the tradeable cubes, meso cube system, boss crystal changes, and frenzy availability changes would be great. But I'm not gonna hold my breath because at some point it becomes a significant undertaking to try and balance and forge two different experiences all from a small dev team. I'm just trying to think in the perspective of Nexon, if they want to keep both sides active, they basically need to try to and appease players to actively want to join interactive and balance it out because right now, it's too heavily skewed. I don't see meaningful changes in heroic unless the interactive side gets better.

I agree with the overall sentiment and even solution. However, I completely disagree with the idea of making it purchasable through NX/MP. Things like MVP status giving discounts or Maple tour giving a few extra hundred mill a week are not game breaking. Making red cards purchasable for NX is absolutely game breaking. The gap between F2P and P2W will increase by too large of a gap. Not to mention, it will also impact reg servers as people will buy out all the MP in other servers to then buy red cards in reboot.

@@siddplays9134 Going from 90-105% boss up to 120% boss + 27% atk is massive. It is also incredibly expensive to cube familiars like that, so it would cater to whales. Most people play Reboot/Heroic because it has taken a distance from p2w mechanics, if you start crossing that line lots of people are going to quit on the spot. Most people would stop at 120% boss, which isn't game breaking by any means, but it's the principle. If you give Nexon room to take an inch, they'll take an entire mile.

I mean... it might be time for that Heroic World buff considering Interactive Worlds has way more damage than us through out the entire game, but end game Interactive Worlds have more than triple Heroic Worlds end game damage for GMS. This is going to prove to be a massive issue in the future as KMS just fully committed to only balancing the game around interactive worlds so heroic worlds damage needs to be brought by a massive margin for the gap in damage between worlds is only very slight. Keep things simple and only do buffs towards the final damage passive of heroic worlds, do not add systems like scrolls and bonus potential, that should remain interactive exclusive.

Good video nexon has a lot of things to address but I have to disagree on some points. Not all but many of us in the maple Interactive server (reg sever) thinks Heroic server is toxic for the game and I think Maplestory should have a unified experience within their own region. The separation between Interactive server and Heroic server is not sustainable for the community long term. It goes against all forms of successful game design, divides the community in half from a social experience and lastly from a new player perspective it is really confusing. Often times you'll hear content creators saying Heroic world is the true form of Maplestory then have the strongest players saying Interactive worlds is the true from of the game. When we expect new players coming into the game they are instantly hit with decision fatigue right from the start. On of the trying to pick between over 30+ classes they now must understand the difference is between reg and reboot worlds? All throughout all gaming in mmorpgs localization that has strayed too from each other has failed. Such as Tera, Albion Online and Blade and Soul just to name a few. We need to come to a realization as a community (that we're all 24 - 35 years old) that we cannot play Maplestory for free anymore. Yes Reboot 'saved' maplestory. Yes Reboot helped with some unnecessary nx spending and RNG. Heroic world players are sold on the idea that time spent should be the only currency in the game when in reality time spent doesn't pay the bills. KMS figured out that quite early and understood that Reboot isn't sustainable and the name is misleading (now we have maplestory worlds no more cries for OSMS) for many people. Just like many mmorpgs 20% of the player base generally pay for the other 80% and we dont have the numbers but in past comments we're lead to believe most of them play on reg server. What nexon needs to focus on is allowing reg server more freedom in its economy, give less items but don't make anything expired, focused on play to player interaction in bossing and grinding, end the concept of mules which is driving up inflation and lastly allow users to purchase any item for nx such as frenzy totem or fire starter ring or hyper teleport rock permanent.
