Sad but true. As I child, I stayed with my aunt because my parent's were toxic. I find it suspicious that all the video footage showing the "intruder" seem to show them as a completely stationary figure that's almost impossible to recognise as human. Also I can't understand why the friend would point out the shadow behind the window in the first place, considering that it is again almost impossible to recognise as human, let alone anything out of the ordinary. It's such a tiny detail in video that I find it really hard to believe that they would have immediately noticed it. I had to squint and stare at it for quite a while before it looked like anything other than three inconspicuous blobs. Love you're content btw

By nosleep standards this is pretty well put together; it's scary within the confines of reality, so it works for people who don't believe in the supernatural version, and the photos/videos are tough to see in, so it's believable that OP might not notice in an adrenaline rush. It's definitely fake, but that sort of framing was actually pretty common on Snapchat at the time. If anything, people were often even more lazy and would just frame the top half of their face in the bottom corner of their screen. But the way he's filmed this wouldn't really have raised any eyebrows at the time. I imagine that's why he chose to use Snapchat as his medium, so he could use that type of framing (which would be very odd framing on any other platform at the time) to highlight the window. Probably helped with SEO too, since reuploaded Snapchats were to the internet then what reuploaded TikToks are now.

I think the first video where he was showing the birds was real, but it was something else at the window, not an intruder. He didn't know this, got genuinely scared and posted his story to Reddit. Then, when people began to take interest in his story, he made the second one and asked his friend to help him by standing in the corner. So, it was real at first and he then he kept it going to gain fame.
