So... in the very first step, the FC looks for a receiver, that could be Spektrum, Futaba, FlySky, FrSky, XFire, etc... with different protocols and ways to be wired. I'm assuming Falcon is already prepared for all these different types of protocols and wiring issues (maybe using proprietary connections -- and we would have to get the whole package...), but... if this very first step fails, what happen? Supposing something essential like a receiver was wrongly wired, how to troubleshoot the issue? Will the OSD display instructions like the configurator wizards usually do? I'm very skeptical about the choice of setting up a quad with an OSD screen. It doesn't make much sense, putting a goggle on your face, to setup a quad or buy a screen just to do it when we have smarphones in our pockets capable to conect to our quads with at least 4 different ways (wifi, bluetooth, NFC or USB cable). just my 0.02 ;)

What about the individual motor spin direction? Still have to setup with BLHeli or did we miss a step in the video? On the IRC Vortex (which had virtually all the same setup steps), you could set the motor spin direction by literally spinning each motor by hand in the proper direction shortly after bootup. Real handy right after you've soldered a on a new motor or ESC.

I remember back when I started in 2016 I was so excited to fly and have fun but found PIDs and rates and everything confusing (and I'm a guy who's built competition winning robots) Also I had no bases for what a properly tuned quad felt like to fly. To this day I still have crappy settings and tuning is so tedious with a computer and everything. I probably haven't flown for a year because of it. This really inspires me to get back to flying and get a good tune for once. Thank you

Hey John, Would you say that there is ANY Advantage from the Bolt32 over the Spark32? What about 6s? Just wondered why anyone is still flying the RevoltOSD + Bolt32 instead of MillivoltOSD + Spark32. On paper the 20x20 looks basicly the same, Just smaller and lighter... Thanks!!!

Skitzo FPV similar happened a week And half ago to my revoltv3/boltv2 stack. 20 seconds into a flight the quad just fell out the air. Wasn’t even flying hard, just cruising around. I heard it reset and didn’t think anything of it at the time. I walked to it set it up armed and it just flipped over. When I checked everything motor 1 wasn’t spinning. I tried a new motor and still nothing, recalibrated the esc and still nothing. But when I would run a motor test in flightone motor 1 would twitch and then sound like the esc would reset but motors 2-4 would still spin. Weird. Surprisingly tho this is really the first issue I’ve had with my quads in the last 2 years. I do try to take care of them. Especially the flight one rig it’s the one that I won in kwadbox that botgrinder built. Yeah I changed frame and motors after a month or two but it lasted me thru 3 races and 2 podiums in those 3 races 👍

Get one of the OSD ones, super simple to put together, with minimal soldering and they give you all the features. 20x20 or 30x30 depending on your frame.

beta flights motor config setup is such a hassle especially in uncommon board configurations like on my ummagawd remix. this setup almost seems like how liftoff registers your stick inputs. intuitive is good, great stuff skitzo!
