Our content is intended for audiences 13+
2024 Next-Gen Piston Cup Series:
34 Pixar Cars Drivers will compete across 10 different Events in the Next-Gen Series. Each Event will feature a new Track, Layout, or racing style where drivers will compete to earn points. Points will accumulate each Event until the 10th and final Event where a Champion will be crowned.
Event 2: 4 Car Double Jump
Track: Mega Jump Track
Style of Race: 4 Car Racing Groups
Number of Qualified drivers: 32 of 34
How to Move on to next round: 4 Driver groups race in 4 points based races; top 2 drivers with the most points move on to next round.
Season Points: points will be awarded at the end of the event based on the drivers performance and how far they get into the tournament.

Hang on I might be misremembering but didn’t Chris Roamin eliminate Cam spinner? Why is no. 31 still here? If that’s true, isn’t that just not fair?

@injunghugh9617 Actually you are right. Looks like we made a mistake there. Track officials will have to figure out how to make this one right 😬. I've got a few ideas on how we could do that. If you have any ideas on what we could do to correct it, let us know. We will make a community post about it later this week; potentially vote on what to do about this. @@weracethings I’m sure that producing those races are not so easy, but maybe you could put Roamin’ up in an extra race with a few of the losers from the previous races (Shift and McPillar perhaps….?) and if he scores better than Barry DePedal he moves on, and if he does worse, DePedal takes it. It definitely is not perfect, but that’s the only thing that’s fair to McQueen and doesn’t give Roamin’ ANOTHER chance to have to prove himself better than Spinner. He’ll just have to prove himself better than who he’s up against. That’s all from the top of my head. Also Spinner…..sneaky move right there, dissembling his way to another round. I would award him a penalty.

No telling what Cam Spinner might of pulled off to get that spot, but overall it was a track official error. Since Cam was entered into this round, competed, and he earned a second place finish today, he will move on to the semi finals. Only track officials can be blamed for that mistake. For Chris Roamin we could add him to a different Rd 2 group, making that group 5 cars instead of 4. This is potentially doable, but it might be difficult squeezing in a 5th car over the jump. If it was a different track setup, it could be possible. Our more likely option is we give Chris Roaming a free pass into another round to be used later in the series. The next Event has a Style that if needed will make it easy for Chris Roamin to use his free pass, so this could be the winner. Cam just ends up being super lucky this round not only getting the free ride into round 2, but also placing second place to move on to the semi finals. Chris loses out this Event, but will be able to have that free pass for a future event.

Season Points are a little weird. The points are awarded after the event is over. And are based on performance. They range from I believe 40 to 1. Winner of event 2 will get 40, second overall, 35, then 32, 30, etc. If you go to the community tab, you can see how we awarded the points for event 1.
