I've been dealing with this myself all week. Just leave the faucet dripping and don't turn it off. I go to the kitchen or bathroom and there the faucet is turned off! Luckily my pipes haven't froze but it's a struggle to keep the water dripping. My d-i-l finally taped a note beside the faucet "Leave water dripping" and that has helped. I will pray your water is working again very soon.

I'm glad to finally see snow again after so many years here in Macon, Ga! That sharp edge between snow and no snow, I think Macon was right on that line because while most folks to the South got up to close to a foot of snow, the local stations shown Macon with 2 inches, although in my yard the snow didn't rally look that thick, maybe about an inch like you Mitch. I guess the snow total for Macon was the highest measured amount they could find I suppose, but I'll take what I got. Almost 9 hours of snowfall. It started from 1 PM which is earlier than what any forecast models shown in its arrival time and stopped around 10 PM. Although we did get a thin coating of sleet around maybe 10 AM, a couple of hours before the snow came in.

Good for you , Not a flake here in Acworth , we got 1 + inches 2 weeks ago so ill take that & to see cars sliding and crashing in Gwinnett Co made me glad we got nothing . A good 5 inches of fluff would be nice . Time will tell .

I didn't even get an inch and I live in the same area of neighborhoods as Mr. West! My snow was a bust. It didn't even feel like snow except it was cold. The flakes were to fine and had no weight to them. My grandson said he had to work to get a snowball and it fell apart when he threw it! hahaha Poor kid waited a long time for snow and then we got the fine "dry" snow you can't do much with. Oh well, it was pretty to look at. Grateful for that. Yes, it snowed for hours and lots of flakes but they were so small they didn't add up to much - about 1/2 inch. Maybe this Feb. 1st thing will be good to us. Then the rest of the country will have to hear how excited southerners get when we see a snowflake - all over again!

Glad you're feeling better Mitch. I was right at the cut off line for snow here in the NW suburbs of Atlanta. 15 miles south of me, including the city of Atlanta got snow. My children were very disappointed. Very deflating.

Hey Mitch you need to listen to the Old timer 65 years old I can remember I ever snow storm since I was 8 years old our biggest snowstorms around here have occurred in February it seems to me global warming is real just cuz we got this little cold snap are big cold snap I guess you could say as far as snow goes we only got flurries here in the foothills of North Carolina we used to get real snows back in the nineties 80s 70s and 60s is global warming real temperature have been warming on average over the years roll my bicycle to survive when it was 25 the other evening I'd like to see a big snow but I'm not too confident about it love you and your videos Mitch wish we had those videos back when I was younger when we had real storms we have had good snows in March the like you say February March the last few years have really been warm thank you for your videos Mitch God bless you and your family

I used to love snow as a kid now I don’t like snow because my job which is at the airport as a mechanic makes me come in regardless of the weather and the scariest part is when the snow starts to melt, and the roads become slick not even a four-wheel-drive will stay straightgotta drive super slow and it’s scary

We look to be entering a dull period in my area of WV. It's been a great 3 week Winter stretch though. With snow on the ground for 21 days by the time the thaw wipes it out this weekend. It's always a little sad for me to see it go. Especially with the locals crowing about the upcoming warm wave. We even have a local met who starts his team spring crap on his blog every year on Feb 1st. Hope you enjoyed your snow.

most of our snow is still on the ground, i went outside and enjoyed it for a good 2 hours before i got a lil cold and came back in, hope we get another shot down the road. there will be plenty of hot days ahead for ppl to plant flowers and get out the house. honestly, i hope it stays cold for a lil longer cause it'll keep ppl in for a while ppl act a fool when it warms up. definitely not looking forward to that.

We continue the trend of snow everyday, the cold has moderated a bit, up to positive single digits from - single digits. Maybe it won’t snow today but I’m not going to hold my breath. Glad you saw a little snow but I am really winter weary.

Persistent ridge in the west and trough in the east seems to be the case this winter. Just the opposite of last winter. Middle of December long range forecast for jan was for above normal and couldn't have been more wrong. I would not be surprised to see this winter pattern continue into feb.

Mitch, please eat some homemade bone-in chicken broth with cabbage, onion, potatoes, carrots and chicken. If you can get some rice or if you like, Reames egg noodles, boil those in the broth. Eat with cheese. This is our old "hunky penicillin" recipe (Czech). Everything goes in whole or in half to cook. Cook chicken first, take out, then veggies, take out some broth and cook your carbs. I hope this helps and plus, you're only .5k until you're at 100k!!
