I have a 322 and I recently had to get a warranty claim because my battery apparently expanded (heat?) and caused the back touch screen to come off. Next base was awesome. I wonder if heat or cold causes a bad battery? Also the suction cup fails over time. Went with 3m version.

Great tutorial thanks.. I have the 322GW and I am so disappointed with the video footage, I had a £40 camera about 4 years ago & that was a lot clearer footage!.. number plates easy to see etc. Has anyone else experienced this poor quality? Thanks John :)

Thanks for posting.I now know why after charging camera for 2 hours and putting in car battery discharged after ten minutes.Had dashcam only 8 months and battery is duff because I set parking model in settings.Back to Halfords then !

Hi, I got the same camera but I don’t know why while it's recording it makes a photo capture sound, it's annoying I'm an uber driver and people think I'm taking photos inside the cabin…

I have recently got this fitted to my car along with the rear view camera. I plugged it to charge within my house. I downloaded the app and followed the instructions and it connected straight away to my phone. However when I transferred to my car it somehow has lost connection to my phone? Is there anything I need to do to get it reconnected? I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but it's seem to be taking a while to find camera

It says the power source requirement is 24 V but my car's cig lighter is only 12 V. Will this work in my car? Any negative downfall? Thanks

It will work from your cig lighter. The camera is actually 5v You van plug it into your pc using a "Mini usb lead"

It's annoying, you can only use the live view whilst the camera is on. This means when youre sat in the car, therefore pointless! As soon as the camera turns off the live view no longer works

@@leegilbert7551 with the WiFi you wouldn’t be able to do that anyway. If you want to do that you’d need a 4G enabled dash cam like a blackvue dr750lte with a sim card

Just got mine but it seems you have to turn on the app every time you get in the car and it asks every time if you want to connect to the camera's WiFi. The library is empty. Shouldn't it be recording and uploading video clips to your phone all the time? I read the manual and not grasping this. My son pressed the red panic button just to save a video and now it stopped recording. Frustrating.

What's the best way to try to minimize the reflection of the dash on the windshield while recording?

Just make sure the camera is angles properly there’s a sweet spot where it will have minimal reflection.

Tried to find an install video for the next base 322 gx in a Susuki Vitara 2018 LY ,lookslike you did not get to that model .l will shortly be starting an install on this model .l am intending using the 10amp or the 15amp acc fuse to piggy back from, which one would you use or is there a better option fuse to piggy back from.

Uber is offering a new 323gw, dual cam for Uber drivers. On Nextbase’s website, it says Uber, nor Nextbase will see or watch any videos unless you choose to upload them . Curious what the difference is between the 322 and 323. I cannot find a single video on it

Can I power it in the vehicle with just a USB cable or do I have to use the 12/24v plug that comes with it? The brand I currently have powers with a USB. And do I have to periodically charge it with the charging cable after the initial charge or can I just leave it plugged into my vehicle?

Ayup mate, Are you happy with the clarity of the footage? I am sending mine back!.. Yesterday I was doing about 20 mph just to check the footage later on when I got home. I paused the video just before I passed a parked car & the number plate was un readable? That's not good at all to say it was over £100. Thanks John :)

I personally never use the app. I tend to just leave the dash cam running and if i need to pull a video i just take the SD card out.

Nice review, thanks. I have been on the fence about this dash cam. Is the video captured better than what shows on youtube? When looking at the video following that service truck, you definitely can't make out the plate.

owned this dash cam for about 3 months now. Got 1 in both cars. Only issue is the battery seems to be always low no matter how often i charge (i keep parking mode on but never leave vehicle for more than 2-3 days) and the g sensor is so sensitive on parking mode (even when set to low) e.g. getting in my car and shutting the door will lock the footage and use waste valuable space.

@@WHxKZbin I’ve got the g sensor set to low so when driving it records intense acceleration deceleration or general bumps. But I have parking sensor turned off because the battery in both cameras I own is very poor now and the Parking sensor would be triggered simply by opening and closing the doors and boot of the car. But if you live in an area where ur car is more likely to be at risk then I’d probably keep it on

First time someone stole my Halloween costume accessories and this time a phone holder both items less than a tenner! Honestly it's petty what people would steal, just my advise to all leave NOTHING exposed, not even a penny!

I got mine yesterday and even after hours of charging the battery lasts a min max, maybe 30s. Is that normal/correct?

Don't buy one. I purchased one on the 11/3/2021 the camera gets very hot and in turn affects the touch screen. When I dismounted it from its holder the magnet burnt my finger it was that hot. Halfords were I purchased it from refused to replace it, they said these cameras do get hot, no they don't, and they shouldn't. Nextbase have also refused to sort the problem at this moment in time I am giving this review. I've been given all sorts of excuses.

I'm super sorry to hear that this happened for you. Where do you live? My cameras haven't really ever gotten so hot that i couldn't touch them. That sounds awful. I am really upset that this happened to you. Anytime that I have talked with nextbase customer service they have been really helpful. Thank you for sharing your experience with the camera Trevor.

The rear 'bolt-on' camera is designed to record any rear impacts from other drivers , not sure if it was designed to record passengers , i think the viewing angle and magnification is too powerful.
