Boy, that sounds exactly like my renovation that I did in August of 2017, Michael took it out, and I was loaded with Poa Annua last Winter/Spring. I had army worms late last Summer, and Irma did a number as well. I treated with Specticle Flo last winter, and I am looking at a weed-free lawn right now. Any renovation is going to take at least 2-3 years to get to where it looks really good. I scalped it down to the ground last Saturday, and I'm looking forward to my first good sanding and mow.

Good video, Paul. One suggestion - For those that want to mix two or more chemicals together into a sprayer it's always a good idea to do a jar test BEFORE putting those chemicals in your sprayer. If you do not do a jar test, then you could be spending quite some time cleaning out every little crevice of your sprayer or worse, you could possibly ruin your sprayer which is not cheap. Better to be safe than sorry. We are all waiting for spring and getting our equipment and supplies ready to go. It'll get here and then we will be killing ourselves trying to dominate our neighbors. :-)

I am in the RVA area as well and am ditto on the issues with my TTTF. Up until yesterday this heat has been a killer. I have irrigation and have been using it and your products. I have some questions. My TTTF was starting to layover at 4.25”. Two nights ago I went in with a high lift blade and cut back to 3.75” and seemed to have moderate success. Yesterday I went almost the full route...kill or cure method. I ran 3 oz of RGS, 9 oz of Humic 12, 9 oz Air-8, 16 oz, MicroGreen, and 9 oz of D-Thatch. I ran sprinklers 6 minutes and we got 1/3” of rain last night. No matter what rate and what I do, I just can’t seem to get my lawn dark green. My last N-P-K app was a month ago and it didn’t even do much. Suggestions? Can I run 18-0-1 at a low rate or 7-0-0 during the summer without pushing growth too much? The grass under my bird feeder is the color I want so I know something is amiss.
@SUBDIVIDED5 жыл бұрын
What results did you get after the application of multiple Next products? Have you considered using a liquid iron to deepen the green? Asking because I have had a similar situation here in Northern KY with a KBG/TTTF mix that just didn't come to life as usual after a good dose of liquid N-P-K and consistent irrigation. Heat stress is definitely a factor- went 3 1/2 weeks with no rain and blazing sun for 15 hours a day.
@Donaclin5 жыл бұрын
@@SUBDIVIDED I think the products may have a long term effect by helping to fix some stress areas. I did not get the affect I expected. The double green effect that is talked about just doesn’t happen. I got great results the first app of HyRBrix Lawn fertilizer but that has been it. I am wondering if it may be my varieties. I am working on my daughter’s fescue lawn and am seeing much better color results. I will be starting to overseed the next few years with hopefully better varieties.

@NExtDIYLawn5 жыл бұрын
More water is better. Hose end works the best but you can use a back pack sprayer as well. Just have to make sure you have the right water to product ratio. Make sure to check the labels and follow the guidance on there. - Castleberry

The thing with the hose end, we don't recommend mixing fert concentrates with the specialty products like RGS, Air8, Humic12 and D-Thatch. Those need to be tank mixed in a sprayer of some sort.
