The producer of Purple Crush seems to have a very interesting and healthy approach toward this show. Although it’s a competition program, the clips I have watched so far seem to indicate that the producer was more focused on that the members were having fun and their performances bursted out joy to the audience. These talent shows may have winners but they don’t guarantee continuous success afterward. I kind of like Purple Crush’s strategy: exposed their unique style to a wide audience via the show, hoping to achieve strong impression through the process which may steadily build up a group of niche fans. Also similar was Nine Chen’s encouragement at 44:07. He and FengZe didn’t gain real popularity right from the beginning of their careers. But neither of them ever stop trying. And the way they eventually became household names was due to the Werewolf game, who would have thought! So his advice was actually true and sincere.
