As an add on point, will be very helpful if one of the faculties explain how Meiteis are the original inhabitants of Manipur with Nongda Lairen Pakhangba as the first king of Manipur.. History of Meiteis can be dated back to as long as 3500 years ago and beyond when King kangba, King of Meitei Kingdom discovered Sagol kangjei ( now Polo) in 14th century BC..

Dear Mr. Singh, I like the panel discussion but you've mentioned a group of people migrated from Tibet to Manipur during 7th Century and later they are known as Meitei of present days. What I like to highlight here is the king who ascended at Kangla itself was recorded 33 AD when it become dry land. That means there are people much before that and where is 7 Century is much later.

True. But the migration theory should be taken into consideration in portraying the formation of What we called now as a Meitei/Meetei. We should realize that Meitei is not a homogenous group of people. What we are now today is the result of many racial, cultural, religious and ethnic assimilation to form a single Ethnic entity called The Meiteis which Some people who are excluded from the Clan system called themselves as Manipuri (A sanskritized Term)

It's a very flase notion to think that valley belongs to Meitei, which is not. I won't be surprised to find atleast 30% of the tribal population settles in the valley. Apart from tribal people, Meitei Pangals(Muslims), and other communities also settle in the valley only.

Hello sir you all are discussing only through good will educational purposes but the core parts of the crisis is missing. The main causes of the crisis cannot be truly explained by anyone who is staying outside of Manipur. I was also one of the upsc aspirants but due to certain reasons i couldn't continue. I got a gun shot on my left arm during the initial part of this crisis while volunteering as a medical first aid member of my locality club. My analysis on this crisis are quite far differ from the media channel discussion whosoever came on discussion spoke upon. There are many more things happening where you cannot imagine. Secret games are playing around behind the scenes through dark market by all those(including military men, state government, central government, etc.) And only the normal people are suffering as side effects. Pliz don't believe on those narratives and theories, they are just a scape code for everyone involved in triggering the crisis. Pliz keep away all those educational knowledge for a while and think on it as a common man. You will get all the answers.

The reason is purely to grab land for a separate territory/state with the increase of their land and population through illegal migration since a long time.Boundary is also not protected and people from Chin state of Myanmar are coming continuously to cause demographic imbalance in the state. ST demand by Meetei is being used by Kukis as a ploy to justify their demand for a separate state/territory.The situation is not communal clash between the Kukis and Meeteis but an attack by the former to establish an independent Kukiland.
