Yes , It is possible , Pradeep Dwedi who scored 77 rank in civil service exam in 2018 result , In mains exam ,he gave GS and Essay in English medium and on the other hand , he gave optional paper in hindi because his optional was Hindi literature and also gave interview in hindi medium ,so it depends on u .Thanks

No Full Mains from 1 language but if optional is literature subject then your optional paper language will be according to that
