I missed this awhile ago. I have a question. How come no one online has ever taught how to build a ranking site like ranker.com? I've already searched for many years. The closest thing to it was a Ruby on Rails project 7 or 8 years ago but no one has done it. Not on KZbin. Not on Udemy. Not anywhere. Is it really that hard to do?

Never heard of this website, the idea is cool but the just upvote and downvote rating system is terrible for things like movies for example imo, someone can downvote the movies "Minions" just because they saw it was rated third best movie in 2015 even though they like it, it should be 5 star or 10 star rating system like in imdb.com This site is super easy to make, the only challenge is to find APIs for all different genres of things, an API for films, one for games, music... etc and that can cost a lot of money so it might not be commercially viable.

@@Classsed Thanks. You're the first one who has responded to my question on this and I've posted everywhere. Whether 5 or 10-star rating or 1 to 10 or upvotes and downvotes, I just find it weird that no one has done a tutorial on it, but if it's because it's expensive to even do to teach online, now I finally understand why it's not in anyone's arsenal of tutorials. It's costly to make with the APIs. But if what I am doing is not going to be extensive? Btw, I am thinking about it like how www.producthunt.com/ does it. Would producthunt.com be a cheaper way to do this? What if the things I need to rank for is only 100 and I can just manually add them, would you consider teaching how to do it? Thanks again.
