#5 really resonates with me. I enjoy the mental stimulation of complex ideas but trying to execute them has generally been far more stressful than the value generated. Generating wealth is conceptually simple & I’ll just enjoy the mental gymnastics for what they are!

How are 6K plus people watch this video and don't like this video(hit the "like button")? THAT $h!+ is crazy! Your videos are informative and relaxing too watch. Most financial videos are stressful to watch. "I'm not saving enough." "I have too much bebt." "I made a bad investment." You're Killin' it brah! I'm 37 and made mistakes and have rebounded. We're in really good shape. I wanted to thank you for ALL the videos (I've seen them all). They're all videos that make me think and question my financial guest! 🔥 Another banger! 👏 👏 👏

Thanks, Joseph! And wow, that's some real dedication there... there's a couple hundred videos on the channel ;). I'm glad to hear that you've gotten enough out of them to want to continue watching more. And, yes, regardless of any mistakes made in the past we all still have the opportunity to bounce back. So no need to be too stressed or a Debbie downer about things. I'm glad to hear that you've done that and got yourself in a really good position now :) Keep up the great work!

🤔 I can relate to #1 #2 & #5 this year. I'm trying to follow 'The Simple Path to Wealth' (JL Collins) strategy but tempted several times to invest in individual stocks and annuities based on 'recency bias'! Planning for your future is like looking at a restaurant with overwhelmingly too many options to choose from. Appreciate your content and hope you enjoy the holidays & have a Happy New Year. 🎄🎉🎊🎈🎆

A great book! Yes, jumping into single stocks (or any hot investment or security blanket for that matter) can be pretty tempting sometimes (especially during years of market turbulence when some investments seem like they can do no wrong and others are cratering... very tempting, but also potentially very risky/costly if things don't break your way). Hope you enjoy the holidays as well and have a Happy New Year :)

Hey NLL, what about investing large sums of money, for example after selling a home. Is it a better idea to spread that lump sum across different investments types, with emphasis on tax advantaged accounts (401K’s, Roth IRAs, HSA’s, etc), or to invest it as a lump sum in something like a brokerage account because the larger intact sum has greater interest generating power because it’s concentrated in one account? In other words, if you sell a home and make $100K on it, should you spread it out because it’s more diversified, stable, and tax advantaged, or keep it all together and let that larger intact sum generate more interest and compound? Appreciate the content big time, makes these concepts a lot more accessible. Thanks!

✨VIDEO RECOMMENDATION idk if you care about taking these, but I wanted to know what your thoughts were on investing in more than one stock/index fund at a time. Compound interest works more the more money you have in, so it makes sense to focus your attentions on one thing. But they say don't put all your eggs into one basket. BUT if what I invest in is an index fund (s&p500), and that fails, since it's a reflection of the overall economy I think I'll have bigger fish to fry than my investment portfolio if things go south. What do you think?
