We travel through Costa Rica in search for its most iconic wildlife (it was not easy) - (EP 64)

Sloth, River crossings, Beach Camps, Scarlet macaws, Crocodile Bridge...
Last week we travelled through the centre of Costa Rica. For this last week in the country we have a busy programme... We leave the central valleys of the country and go with our Land Rover defender, first to the Caribbean coast and then to the Pacific Coast. On our way we are looking for some of the country's most iconic wildlife. It is hard to spot wildlife for rookies like us, even in a country with so much fauna like Costa Rica. But slowly we get better and better. We finish our journey around the gorgeous Osa Peninsula, a place like no other. But we let you discover it in the video.

The water in the Caribbean is always beautiful turquoise blue and always warm. Every time we went to a Caribbean Island the water was always perfect and warm. It's also just like that in South Florida, Miami and the keys and Key West.

@@NextMeridianExpedition Excellent! There is a lot to see in all of Florida and there are many beautiful beaches. I think you would really like South Florida and the Everglades and of course you would like all the keys and Key West there are many Crystal Clear Springs that you can swim with the manatees. There is a lot to see and do in Florida. I know you are more into adventurers but if you go to Florida you should at least go to Disney World for one day it's really something to see especially Epcot.

You get used to it. You wear lightweight shorts, flip-flops or sandals, and a tank top or muscle shirt and you don't wear underwear. That will keep you much cooler.

Mesmerising wildlife shots, though I think you have misunderstood the sloth. Its purpose in life is not to move. You could have waited years for any activity. Love it that you meet people who are following the expedition everywhere you go. Costa Rica clearly liked you as much as you liked it - it cried when you left.

The colors on the macaw and toucan were so brilliant. Im sure they were even more in person. Glad you saw them and the sloth. I asked my husband to bring colones back for me to see. It is very pretty money and i was suprised it was plastic. Maybe for all the rain?

That is no longer a requirement. I believe they made it optional because some regional codes were subject to “attacks/degradation “ when leaving their cars in other regions ( Paris /Marseille for instance hahahah). We had one but we decided to just leave france for the world tour
